~Prom Day~
+Ashton's P.O.V+

Morgan said purple but I don't know what shade of purple. Is it dark or light? Is it more of a lavender or an indigo? This is stressing me out.

I pick up my phone and dial her number. It rings a few times before she answers.

"Hey Ash, what's up?" Her sweet voice goes through the phone.

"I'm trying to pick out a tie, but I don't know the shade of your dress. And it would be really embarrassing if I didn't match you and-"

"Ashton," she cuts me off. "Where are you at? I'll come help."

"I'm still at my house looking at my small selection of ties, but I have a feeling we are going to have to buy one." I sigh as I sit on my bed.

"Ok, I'll be over soon." She says and hangs up.

---

I sit on the couch watching tv, still waiting for Morgan to knock on my front door.

When suddenly, there's a knock on the door. I get up off the couch and open the door.

"Hey Ash, sorry I took so long. I got lost." She giggles.

"That's alright." I smile.

I take her hand and lead her up to my bedroom where my ties lay.

Morgan fits her fingers into the grooves of mine. She looks at the small purple selection I have.

"The closest one is this one." she says and points to a softer purple.

"Do you want to go look for some? We could try to find a closed shade. If you want to." I shrug.

"Yeah, let's go." She smiles and pulls me out of the room and down the stairs.

I stumble behind her and follow her to her car. I get in the passenger seat and wait for her to start the car.

She glances at me, and stays put.

"Are you gonna go?" I ask her.

"Are you going to put your seatbelt on?"

I growl under my breath, pull the seatbelt across my chest, and into the buckle.

"Thank you." She says and pulls out of my driveway.

I roll my eyes and grab her right hand off of the wheel. She looks at me as I shove my fingers between hers.

A small blush rises to her cheeks as she glances down at her hand.

After the short drive, we arrive to a store that holds suits, ties, shoes and other things.

"Good afternoon, how may I help you two?" An older man asks us as we enter.

"Can you show us the ties?" Morgan asks.

"Right this way." He smiles and leads towards the back of the store. "Here you are."

"Thank you." Morgan smiles and pulls me closer to her.

I let go of her hand only to get a small pout from her. But, I stand behind her and wrap my arms around her waist.

"What do you think about this one?"

"Polka dots? No." I decline and shake my head.

"Do you like stripes?" She asks.

"Sure, I can tolerate that." I shrug.

"I think this one is the best." Morgan points to a soft purple, almost lavender color. But it doesn't have any stripes of patterns. Just a solid color.
