+Ashton's P.OV+

Grabbing my phone, I dial Luke's number.

"Hello?"

"Luke, I need you're help."

"What do you need?"

"I need to pick out a ring."

"A ring? Like a wedding ring?"

"Sorta, I need an engagement ring."

"An engagement ring?"

"Yes, I don't know what to pick out for Grace. I mean I don't wanna get her something plain. But then I don't wanna go over the top you know?"

"So you're going to ask Grace to marry you? Don't you think it's a little early for that?"

"Well, I'm asking her after we graduate. I just wanna have the ring. Or at least an idea."

"Why don't you just take her with you to look at rings?"

"Because then it wouldn't be a surprise."

"Yeah, I guess you're right. Ok, I'll be over soon."

We end the phone call, causing me to get dressed.

Just as I pull my shirt over my head, Grace calls me.

"Hey, baby. What's up." I answer as I mess with my hair.

"Are you busy today? I wanna go shopping with you."

"I can't, I'm hanging out with Luke today. Sorry baby. Maybe tomorrow." I tell her.

"Ok, I'll call you later."

"Kay, love you."

"I love you too."

The urge to tell her that I was looking for a ring was killing me. I wanted her to know. But I can't. I have to hide it. This has to be a surprise.

Luke enters my room as I put my phone in my front pocket.

"You ready to find a ring?"

"I guess. I'm nervous. But I don't know why." I chuckle.

"Because this is a big commitment, Ashton. Marrying someone is big. But I think you can handle it."

"I hope so."

----

We just pulled up to a jeweler store, and my hands are getting extremely clammy.

"You ready."

"Not really, but let's do this."

"You'll be fine." He chuckles. "You're just looking. Nothing is official yet."

I nod my head before getting out of the car. Luke and I both enter the jeweler store. Then get greeted by a middle aged women.

"Hello, how may I help you two?"

"Umm, I'm looking for an engagement ring for my girlfriend." I nervously tell her.

"Alright, come with me." She smiles and leads me through the store.

As we walk through, a man gets down one knee and proposes to the girl in front of him. She quickly starts to cry as she covers her mouth with her hands.

She nods her head 'yes' and the people around cheer. I clap along with them as I watch the man put the ring on her finger.

"I wanna make her cry like that." I tell Luke as I continue to follow the women.
