Confusing night

We all got of my apartement. I was walking next to Mathieu and next to him, Karim was walking. They seemed  to do pretty good together since they started talking. Behind us, Sergio and Marcelo were walking. I don't want to be mad at Sergio nethier him to be mad at me. But that argument wasn't the one and only for these last two days. Maybe if I forget it, he will forget it too. "So, Mathieu, where do you suggest going?" I asked. "If you want we can go to that bar over the corner. It's very nice." He said. "Ok, let's go there then." I answered. We all then walked to that bar and entered the place. We sat on a table for six. I sat first and then Sergio sat next to me. On the other side all the others sat down. "So you and Mathieu became friends so quickly.. It's almost impossible for me to understand. Ha ha.. It seems you're going to be friends for a long time.." Karim noticed. "He just wanted to show me around and we talked for each others lives.. It was nice. We are not best friends.. Yet!" I said proudly and laughing slightly at the end. "I'm happy for you two and especially for you Mes, having someone on the team, is the best. Trust me. " Marcelo said and winked at me. We all laughed. After that that, we all drunk our cocktails. I noticed Marcelo and Karim talking to Mathieu. O was glad that Mathieu wasn't feeling lonely tonight. I felt Sergio tapping my hand under the table. "What?" I asked him whispering. "Can't you see that Mathieu is ruining our relationship?" He whispered back checking if anyone could hear him. Then he continued saying "Since you met him we do nothing but fight. We used to be best buds.. Where did that go?". I looked straight into his eyes. He looked at me kinda depressed. " I don't think it's Mathieu.. Maybe it's just us.." I answered not tottaly sure. "A new person entering in your life could change everything, trust me.. Why don't you just test it. For a couple of days don't hang out with him for some days. You will notice the change." He advised. "I.. I don't know.." I answered. "Is everything OK?" Mathieu asked us smiling. "Yeah, everything is fine." I answered.
