Scott watches as Atlas paces the length of his living room with fidgeting hands. The pair decided to blow off school after Scott noticed how panicked Atlas was. The only part in this plan that failed was neither of them telling Liam.
Scott had convinced his mother to call up the school saying he was sick, thankfully Melissa agreed.
"At?" Scott calls from the couch, the curly haired boy turns to the alpha. "What's wrong?"
"I had a vision last night" Atlas explains, sighing.
"I thought you got them under control" Scott reminds the boy as his eyebrows furrow.
"I thought I did too" Atlas pleads, running a hand through his messy hair, "this one kind of just sprung on me. I normally get some kind of warning before hand."
"Where was Liam?" Scott questions as he crosses his arms over his chest. "I thought he was staying here."
"He went home last night" Atlas answers, falling back onto the couch beside Scott. "His mother and step-father wanted him around for dinner. I was invited but made up an excuse that I had some shit to do."
"So what did you see?" Scott asks.
Atlas stands from the couch and makes his way across the room, over to a bookcase. "This woman. Me and her were fighting but we weren't fighting if that makes sense. It was like she was using her mind. I couldn't get close to her."
"Like mind control?"
"No. It was like she could just think of a way to hurt me and it would just happen. She would think about me being choked and I was on my knees, my throat closing in on me. The worse part? I could feel it happening to me, that's never happened in a vision before, I woke up coughing."
"Who was she?"
Atlas sighs as he stares at the bookshelf, a framed photo staring back at him. He picks up the photo, uses his finger to wipe off a layer of dust before approaching Scott.
Atlas sits on the edge of the couch, showing the photo to Scott. It was a family photo. Scott recognised Giagiá with a large grin in the centre of the photo.
There was a tall man that replicated Atlas, his father he assumed. At the man's side was a red haired woman, Atlas' mother who Scott recognised.
On the other side of Giagiá was a small blonde woman. Her hair was cut short and she had a straight face. Atlas points at the unfamiliar woman, "it was her."
"Who is she?"
"My aunt" Atlas explains. "Stephanie Jackson. My dad's sister."
"Shouldn't she be dead?"
"Nope. From what I can tell from my father's journals there was a supernatural part in Giagiá's side of the family. All the woman gained the same power. My father never explained this power in his journals, obviously scared of the knowledge getting into the wrong hands. When I read about his power in depth, Giagiá was already gone."
"So your aunt? She's coming to kill you?"
"I don't know. She is coming. To kill me? Most likely. I met her a few times when I was younger and she did not like me."
"You should tell Liam."
"And worry him more? The boy is worried about me already. I can't stress him out more by saying my evil aunt who I haven't seen since I was like eleven is going to kill me. Probably over some stupid family shit that I have no idea about."
