I walked down the dark alley, Pete following behind me.

"Hey man, I don't wanna die, especially not to some psycho chick with a gun. Why do I have to be the bait?" He asked.

"Because you are in GUN custody now, and I'll make sure you don't die. But from your description of Lady Shocke, she doesn't seem like the type to let her targets get away for long." I said.

We stopped in front of a warehouse.

"So you said this was your second smuggling base?" I asked.

"Yeah, the Lady attacked our main one." Said Pete.

"Great, get in there." I said, pushing him
inside.

I followed but immediately teleported up to the catwalks of the warehouse.
I watched down below as Pete walked around.

"Shit, maybe I can get some of our old storage here, before she arrives. Fuck I don't wanna die tonight." I could hear Pete say as he walked further into the building.

I watched the area around him.

Some of the lights flickered and others were bright. But a lot of the lights were burnt out, adding to the darkness. Perfect for a killer to hide in.

But the Lady wasn't one for subtlety.

A loud shriek-like laugh, sounded through the empty warehouse, and I could see Pete freeze and tremble in fear.

"Well, well, well, looks like the prey returns to the predator, Hm?" Said a higher pitched voice.
I could see a slight silhouette in the darkness in front of Pete, and I could make out the shape of the heels.

"L-lady Shocke! Hey! Listen! I know you had something against my boss but we're cool right?" Pete said, taking a step back.

She took a step forward but the light still was still covering her face, however I could see her sharp teeth gleam in the dim light.

"Tch, you know exactly what your boss did. Yet you still worked for him. That is something I consider, not cool." She said.

"Lady Shocke please! I'll do whatever you want! I promise! Just tell me what my boss did and I'll fix it!" He said dropping to his knees.

She scoffed and laughed.

"You think you can fix what your boss has done? It may not come off naturally but I'm a bit of a good morale person, and hurting and abusing and SELLING INNOCENT CHILDREN!" She screamed but then stepped back and sighed. "That's not something I tolerate! Yes! I helped return them to their homes! However the damage your boss has done to their poor childhoods is something I can never forgive!" She giggled maniacally.

"And for that, I'm going to make you suffer!" She said, her voice changing and getting deeper, somewhat sounding...familiar? But she pointed some strange gun at him.

I had seen enough. I cocked my gun and jumped down from the catwalk, walking out of the darkness. I pointed my gun at her, ready to fire at any minute.

"Lady Shocke! Freeze! You are under arrest for murder and....and...."

My heart stopped beating for a moment when I saw her face.
She had stepped into the light and her face was now clearly visible.

But it wasn't a she.

No I knew that face.

Cold, emerald green eyes pierced straight into my gaze.

Lady Shocke was a mobian. One I had seen a million times.
One I talked to, one I knew almost better than anyone else.

A mobian that I didn't know if I'd ever see again.

"S-sonic?" I gasped, dropping my gun.
