As their lips met, it felt like the world paused, as if time itself held its breath in anticipation. It was a kiss that spoke volumes, a tender meeting of souls starved for affection. The sensation was electric, yet tender, as if a dormant ember had been reignited into a blazing flame. With each gentle press of their lips, they rediscovered a sense long forgotten, a thirst quenched by the sweetness of connection. In that moment, the weight of loneliness melted away, replaced by a profound sense of belonging. Their kiss was not merely an exchange of physical touch, but a merging of hearts that had long yearned for each other's company. Finally after a few moments of ecstasy, they manage to pull away to catch their breaths. Feeling his heart beating faster than he's ever felt, Severus tries to compose himself as he adjusts his collar, watching Lucius closely for his reaction to what he had just done. Still feeling the tingle of their kiss on his lips, Lucius hesitantly reaches up as if he could feel something that isn't physically there. Staring out in front of him for a moment as his mind races, Lucius looks over meeting Severus's gaze already upon him.

"I've wanted to do that for quite some time" Severus admitted, his voice a mere mutter over the rustle of leaves in the breeze. Lucius reached out, his hand finding Severus's and intertwining their fingers. "As have I.." he confessed, his grip firm yet tender "I've spent far too long denying myself what my heart truly desires.." he trails off, his smile fading with a faint sigh. Looking over, Severus cleared his throat, breaking the charged silence that enveloped them. "Lucius" he began, his voice barely above a whisper "I..I apologize if that was too forward of me" Lucius's gaze softened. "No, Severus" he murmured, his voice betraying a hint of vulnerability "it was... unexpected, but not unwelcome" Lucius says as he hesitantly takes his hand away, as if he didn't want to let go in the first place. "But.. this- whatever is stirring up between us- cannot happen.." Severus nods, folding his hands in his lap. "After all, I am a married man, I have a son-" Lucius says, trying to find a reason to keep his emotions at bay feeling Severus's intense gaze lingering on him.

As Lucius continues to ramble, Severus reaches out, gently pulling Lucius's face to face him. "I am aware Lucius.. but this does not have to be anything binding. Just a simple moment of vulnerability that we both needed.. we craved. And now that the moment has passed, we can move on as if it never happened.." he says before standing up, adjusting his robes. Looking up at him with a mix of emotions, Lucius lets out a short sigh. "You're right Severus, we shall put this behind us with ease" seeing him nod, Lucius smiles. After their moment in the moonlit garden, Severus and Lucius return to the ballroom, parting ways for the evening. Finding quiet comfort in the memory of their intimate encounter, knowing neither of them will forget how tender and sweet it truly was.
