"He's having an affair, I am more certain than I was before.. I was still denying it in the back of my mind, but now.. there is no doubt" Narcissa boldly states as she takes a long, savored sip from her wind glass as Bella roams around the small Parlor, fidgeting with trinkets and books on the shelves. "I tried to tell you before you married him, Cissy.. he's a coward. A foul excuse for a wizard, his last name is nothing but a joke among the sacred twenty-eight" Bella remarks as she finds a seat on the edge of the side table near where Narcissa is sat. Giving her a soft glare, Narcissa set down her glass "While we may be talking about Lucius and my great distaste for him as of late, it would be appropriate if you reminded yourself that my last name is no longer 'Black', sister" she says with a bit of venom behind her words. Despite the great distance between them, Narcissa still found it natural to defend Lucius whether he deserved it or not, she couldn't help it. Letting out a soft sigh, Bella taps her pointed fingernails against the wood beneath her "I've always had a distaste for him, why would I respect him now? Especially if you know he's having an affair.." she remarks in a murmur before continuing. "Do you know who it is? I could be of service.." Bella says as a sinister grin crawls across her lips.

Giving her a dismissive wave, Narcissa rises to her feet "I do not need your assistance Bella, I am simply venting, but..I do not. I'm certain it's another woman. Lucius has always had an eye for femininity" meeting her gaze, Bella becomes more serious. "And.. if it isn't?" she asks, letting her question hang between them, they were simple but held the weight of a billion pounds. Pondering her question as she fidgets with one of the rings she is wearing, Narcissa shakes her head. "I have no doubt that it is a woman. Despite the many rumors over the years, My husband- Lucius, is not a man lover" she says with wavering certainty as her gaze falls to the floor, her mind racing. Standing up, Bella approaches, her chin coming to rest on the back of her shoulder "Anything is possible, Cissy.." she whispers ominously before leaving, shutting the doors behind her. As her gaze lingers on the closed doors, Narcissa lets out a short sigh as she looks back over her should out the open window, her gaze empty and lost in thought.

Arriving back onto school grounds just as the sun hangs low in the sky into the early evening, Draco lets out a sigh "I am such an idiot.. forgetting my book bag before heading home.. I'm sure Goyle knows where it's at" he curses under his breath. Feeling the tiredness creeping in from the long journey back, he makes his way to one of the side entrances to the Castle, heading down a darkened corridor, he stops abruptly. Frowning, he looks around as he hears some muffled talking coming from a nearby classroom. Back tracking a few steps, his gaze falls up on the Potions classroom, not realizing he passed it, he looks towards the far end of the corridor before reaching for the handle "The book bag can wait.." he says as he turns the knob quietly. Slipping through a crack in the door, Draco shuts the door behind him with a gentle push as he looks towards the only light among the dim surroundings.

Crouching a bit as he takes careful, quiet steps down the rows of desks, he fumbles over a chair that wasn't pushed all the way in. "Agh bloody hell" Draco grumbles under his breath before approaching the office door and pressing his ear to the wood, hoping to hear what's going on inside. "I am insufferable, truly.. to mutter a name I haven't spoken in decades and at the worst possible moment.." Severus says, ruminating on the very moment he soiled his reunion with Lucius. Rubbing his temples, Severus sinks into his desk chair "There is no doubt he is fuming, I know how he can be, I've seen it over the years and now I am the one who has caused it, I am such a fool.." he says with more self-pity, the single candle sitting on his desk flickering. Listening from the other side of the door, Draco rolls his eyes at the sheer amount of wallowing he is forcing himself to endure he whispers under his breath "That's what you deserve.." his tone sounding rather venomous.

After a few minutes of listening to the same sorrowful speech repetitively, Draco decides to leave as quietly as he came. Shutting the door behind him, he heads off to find the classroom he left his book bag in. Meanwhile, in his office, Severus has already consumed half a bottle of wine, which was rare and typically meant he was truly having an emotional night. "Perhaps an explanation is in order.." he says conclusively, his gaze peering out the window.
