Tightening her head wrap as a cold breeze runs through the empty street of Spinner's End, Narcissa makes haste "I do hope he is home.." she mutters to herself as she makes it to her destination. Taking in the surroundings, she startles a bit hearing a loud crash down one of the alleyways before taking the few steps up to the door and knocking gently. Hearing the gentle rustle of the chain lock on the door, her gaze rises to meet his "Narcisa.. I wasn't expecting company.." Severus mutters, feeling both nervous and tense as he analyzes her expression, hoping to find the reasoning for her sudden appearance. Nodding, Narcissa lets out a subtle sigh "Well, yes, I am aware you hadn't a clue but.. I need to speak with you, without Lucius around.." she speaks gently "May I, come in?.." Narcissa asks. Taking in her words, Severus nods "Of course.." he mutters as he steps aside with the door open, feeling his mind wandering to many places as he shuts the door behind her. Taking her coat like a gentleman, Severus hangs it up on the coat rack by the door before leading Narcissa into the living area "Please, Make yourself comfortable while I put on a pot of tea.." nodding, Narcissa finds herself sitting in a high backed chair by the fireplace, crossing one leg over his knee elegantly as Severus returns from the kitchen.

Finding his own seat, in a similar chair to the one Narcissa sits in, Severus laces his hands together on his lap before speaking. "Narcissa, while I do not mind your company in the slightest, I must ask.. did you come here on foot? That is a rather far walk, especially for a woman wearing heels.." Severus comments, his gaze falling to the elegant pair of heels that adorn her feet. Nodding, Narcissa shifts in place, adjusting her shawl that hangs around her shoulders "Why yes, I did..  but I felt there was no point in hailing a carriage, I needed to confide in you as soon as possible.." quirking a brow, Severus shifts to sit more forward within his chair "Intriguing.." he mutters before continuing. "Something quite drastic must have come up for your urgency to become so eager, Narcissa.. due tell, what occurred that has persuaded you here to confide in me within my private dwellings" Severus asks elegantly, trying to remain rather unemotional, knowing his reaction could determine her response.

Fidgeting with the sleeve of her dress, Narcissa lets out a soft sigh "While I would prefer to speak of such a thing in a more elegant fashion.. I'm afraid there is no way to do so, so I will just speak" she mentions before continuing. "I am certain that Lucius has found another.." she mutters as her gaze reminds on her lap. Feeling a knot form in his stomach, Severus chokes down the bitter tastes in his throat before speaking up. "Oh Narcissa.. although my heart aches at your news, I must ask.. why have you sought me out as a confidant? Certainly this discussion should be discussed with your sister or.. even Lucius himself.." Severus suggests, feeling a weight growing on his shoulders. Sighing, Narcissa nods "I know that you are aware that we have created some distance between each other in the past few months.. and although it would be far more appropriate to speak with Bella.. I cannot speak to Lucius, it would hurt far too much and cause far too much chaos within our home.." nodding, Severus lets out a soft sigh.

"Very well.. you have certainly thought this decision through and so.. I will be your listening ear" he reassures gently, noting the small smile that tugs the corner of Narcissa's reddened lips. Nodding, Narcissa lets out yet another sigh, the second of many to come "I appreciate your openness, Severus, I know it is not easy for you.." seeing him give a gentle nod, Narcissa nods in return before speaking again. "Well then.. I suppose I should start.." she says, clearing her throat knowing this talk is going to be emotional and rather heavy on the heart. "Despite my certainty in knowing Lucius has found another muse.. I have not seen nor heard anything that could indicate he has a secret lover.. but.. the reason I am so sure he does is because of his many absences lately.." listening carefully, Severus takes an unnoticeable gulp, his Adam's apple bobbing gently beneath his thick collar knowing exactly where Lucius had been during such absences.
