I feel a weight over myself as i begin to wake up, the sound of my neighbours alarm clock stirring me awake. But i don't dare move as i realise what that weight is. And realise that i'm not laying in my bed.

Y/n's breathing steady as she's laying on my chest on the couch. I feel my heart flutter at the mere image of us. And i can't help but study her as we all lay splayed out through my livingroom. Lena curled up in the armchair while Alex and Maggie are asleep on pillows on the floor. We had a girls game night last night, so Winn and James probably slept in their own beds this night. I hadn't even realised we'd all fallen asleep last night.

But i look at her, see how her back rises in breaths, her chest presses against my own with each heartbeat, the warmth of her face sticking to my small piece of skin that's visible. One arm hanging down to the floor while the other has snaked it's way around my waist. My heart clenches again.

Unfortunately, it all comes to an end as she stirs awake to look up at me. Her pure e/c eyes gazing tiredly at me, not even noticing how we're laying. Her h/c hair that was put into braids yesterday now lay wavey around her head. Her makeup hasn't even smudged against my shirt or over her face. Perfect as always. Even with that scar creeping up from behind her right ear and up her temple.

Gosh she's beautiful. Breathtaking.

But she just puts her head back down as her other hand comes up to wrap around me, seeking my warmth. The blanket is laying on the other side of the couch and i don't have the heart to tell her that, or even get it myself. I'd do anything to just stay here forever. If only...

I realise the time and come up with the idea to make them all breakfast. That way we all will get something to eat in the morning and still make it into work on time. Because as deep as they're all sleeping, we'll all be late.

As careful as i can manage, i try to move out of her grip and put the blanket over her instead. She hugs the pillow in my place and my heart clenches again at the sight. If only... if only... if only...

I tiptoe my way into the kitchen and start to make a few sandwiches that we all can take with us. And i don't even think about is as i make a cup of coffee and put it into a thermos, i don't drink coffee. But she does. It's what keeps her awake during her shifts.

As i make the breakfast for the others, i hear a stirring from the couch and turn to see Y/n sitting up. At first she just stretches to wake up, but then she glances at the clock and realise the time.

"Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit." She says as she rises, almost tumbling over my sister and her girlfriend on the floor as she hurries into my room. Probably to borrow something to wear, brush her hair or something. I walk around the apartment to pick up her things and put them in her bag, putting them by the door.

"What's going on?" Alex asks as they all also start to wake up. But i can't answer as i see her come back out wearing my jeans and shirt. I haven't used those clothes in ages and oh my Rao do they look good on her.

"Someone's gonna be late." Lena says with a tired smile, barely opening her eyes as she sees Y/n running back out.

"Where are my things? Kara?" Y/n asks as she doesn't see her things in the livingroom anymore.

"By the door, i made sandwiches and some coffee." Because there is no way in hell that i'd trust her to get breakfast on her own if she doesn't have the time to make it at home before.

She hurries towards me, but still manages to walk so properly. "Thank you Kara, but next time just wake me instead." She looks at me with a smile that i know all to well. It's a 'thanks but i don't like anyone taking care of me' smile, But i can't help it, i love spoiling her. Or... i wouldn't even call it spoiling, i'd just call it showing her love. Showing that she is loved.

After putting on her winter jacket, she takes the sandwiches and the thermos out of my hands before leaning in to kiss my cheek. Her face is still warm. Then she heads out the door, grabbing her purse on the way.

"Wait, she forgot her charger." Lena says, standing up from the armchair with a phone charger in her hand. "We'll be hearing from her in two weeks without this." Which is probably true since she isn't that good in keeping it charged. Not keeping a priority she said.

"I'll take it." I say and taking a step towards them. Lena throws the charger to me and i catch it. But as i head back to the kitchen i hear how she's running back up the stairs. But i don't head out, i continue to make their sandwiches and tea. Which only Maggie hasn't learned about us yet.

"Aren't you go..." Maggie begins to question but i just hold up finger for her to wait. And exactly three seconds later Y/n comes back in through the door in a hurry. I'm holding her charger in my hand for her only to grab. Lena and Alex laughs as Maggie just looks at us.

"I for... thanks Kar." She sees it, smiles, and takes it before leaving again. Running off to the hospital once again. Spending a whole shift where i won't hear much from her, not that i'm supposed to be on my phone at work either but still.

"You two work like an well oiled machine." Maggie laughs as she helps Alex put the blankets and pillow back into their place.

"More like an old married couple." Alex says and they all three laugh, but i don't even care. Because Y/n is the most wonderful person i've ever met, and nothing she or anyone ever does will be able to change that.

"Do you want breakfast or not?" I ask as i turn back to them, a joyful smile playing on my lips as they head over to me. I place plates as they take their seats opposite of me. All of them starting to eat and drink their breakfast. Just as i do the same, listening in on her hurried steps down the street.
