"To think that the Sidhe would try to marry Arthur after trying to kill him two years ago, is quite ironic," Eowyn said.

It was night time and Eowyn was in the Physician's Chambers to dine with Merlin and Gaius. It would be more proper for her to eat in her chambers or, even sometimes, with the royal family. She was a princess after all. But Merlin and Gaius would always be her family so she would often have lunch or dinner. And she had to admit, though it was a lot more comfortable to sleep in a soft mattress and large room, she still missed the Physician's Chambers. With all the vials and shelves full of books, the hubbub of the lively town, and the smell of old pages, the Physician's Chambers had its own little atmosphere, its own little world. It was where she grew as a person and gained most of the knowledge she possessed. Her roots were there.

"But we beat. Again," Merlin sniggered.

He and Gaius had given Eowyn a summary of what had truly happened with Elena. Apparently, she had been the vessel of a fairy since she was an infant, and Grunhilda, her maid and governess who had cared for her since, was in fact working for Sidh. It explained why Elena was so clumsy. But luckily for her, Merlin and Gaius managed to extract the fairy out of her body and destroy it, as well as kill Grunhilda who had taken a liking to Gaius (which had heavily tormented him).

When the three had finished eating, they cleaned the table.

"Brother, there is something I would like to discuss with you," Eowyn said.

Merlin, who was putting away plates, looked at her curiously. "Hm?"

"Arthur is bound to know about... what I truly am."

For a short moment, nothing was said but Merlin and Gaius froze for a moment. Then, they stared at Eowyn.

"You plan on telling him?" Gaius asked, sounding both surprised and disapproving.

"I don't know yet," Eowyn shook her head. "But I will become Queen of Usad and I refuse to lie to my people. I refuse to sit on the throne while denying a part of my identity, of who I am. It would be an affront to my ancestors. Besides, what kind of Queen would it make me if I lied to my people?"

The Elford Dynasty, the only royal lineage of Usad had been Ljosalfar and it had always been a pride. Usad was a land of magic, of inclusion, of hospitality. It would go against everything to hide herself. And Eowyn did not want to live a life of submission to Uther which would be the case if she kept hiding herself. She won't let him dictate her life in her kingdom. If it wasn't for Arthur, she would have probably revealed herself long ago.

"And people will eventually figure it out...." Gaius concluded. "There are already rumors that you are Queen Elvira's daughter. It will always follow you."

"But... it will change everything if you reveal yourself," Merlin said. "What about Arthur? And Uther? He would definitely go to war with Usad."

"That is mine to handle. What I worry about most is you, brother," Eowyn said. "All know that we are siblings. Though adopted, people will figure out that you knew about my magic and protected me. You will be accused of being an accomplice and Uther...."

As cruel as Uther was, he would not hesitate to condemn a man to death for hiding a sorceress. He had already done so countless times. So Eowyn did not want to endanger her brother's life though it will inevitably happen once the world finds out about her capacities. It was therefore better to prepare a plausible defense beforehand.

"We can just say that you never told me about it," Merlin said, quite nonchalantly.

"Merlin, we need an iron-like defense. That is too simple."
