What is love? Some say it's the feeling in your stomach that makes you feel like you'd die any minute, some say it's the passion you feel for someone or something. Love can be blinding, misleading, addicting, but most of all.. Fragile. Things happen, cheating.. Loosing feelings.. Miscommunication. Breaking hearts, healing hearts.. Finding hearts. Love is said to be something beautiful, something that stays with you forevr.
"And that's it for today! See not that hard right?" The ginger haired teacher asked. She turned to her classroom full of students who were writing the last bit of the notes she'd just given them. Some of them were already asleep which she didn't mind. "Ms eda! I have a question" one of her students called out. Edas head turned, her hair flying with it, then falling perfectly into place. "What's up, kiddo?" She asked. "How are we suppose to write a whole paper on one emotion!?" The student asked, clearly complaining, and exaggerating.
Eda chuckled, and sat down on her desk, crossing one leg over the other. "Because writing about every emotion could loose the feeling of how in depth I want your papers to be, I'm not saying it has to be long, but I would like it to be detailed, tell me what that emotion means to you, how it effects you, or someone else close to you" eda explained, the smiled on her face genuine, and alluring. She was very charming and charismatic, so it was easy to get through to her students.
They all loved, and respected her, she wasn't cruel, or controlling. She could be strict, but she always remained kind. Some of her students like her better than their own parents, which she always touched to hear, but made her worried about what they had going on at home. Her students always listened to her, and this time was no exception, as another student asked. "Can it be any emotion?" Eda nodded enthusiastically. "Yes! Any emotion at all, even if I haven't heard of it, be as creative as you want! I was every perspective you got!" Eda beamed, while getting off her desk. "I understand it's almost summer, and non of you really want to grind down research, so I'm giving you the 2 months to do it, plenty of time to really gather your thoughts on this, because it's my job to help you improve" eda said, then opened her door, as the bell was about to ring.
Her students gathered their belongings. "Remember to check your spelling and grammar before you turn it in" eda announced, right as the bell rung. Her students crowded out the door, all telling her goodbye, and some occasionally giving her a small hug. Eda sat back down, seeing personally her three favorite students stay back as they usually did. Nakusa, Liam, and Cassandra. They were orphans, so they really had no rush to leave, and they all loved her, in their own weird ways. She sat down back at her desk.
Liam then came up to her, and dropped a dead snake on edas desk. She was reasonably freaked out. "Liam!!.. I-.. What is that?.." Eda asked, praying it was some type of misunderstanding. "It's a dead snake" Liam answered. Eda cringed, trying her best to stay calm. "I-.. Why? Is it now on my desk" eda asked, seeing nakusa and Cassandra laughing. "Oh, because I'm going to eat it, and wanted to show you before I cut it open" Liam said. Eda then blurted out. "NO-.. I.. No. Liam.. No" Liam looked confused. "Look what did I say about eating dead animals you find outside?" Eda asked, hoping he'd remember. "That.. I can't eat them, because I'm get sick" he answered. "Right, so.. Just go out it back outside" eda instructed.
Liam agreed and grabbed the snake and threw it out the window, unfortunately the window was still closed. Eda chuckled. "Liam, buddy, open the window first" Liam sighed, and opened the window, then just dropped the snake. Eda sighed while shaking her head, then saw nakusa eating cookies while laying on the floor. "Don't spoil your dinner, kiddo" eda joked, already knowing what nakusa's reply would be. "This is. My dinner" nakusa scoffed, discarding all the oatmeal raisin cookies in edas trash can. She simply bout a variety pack for na after school snack and Early dinner but always had oatmeal raisin in them. "Of course it is" eda teased.
Eda was happy, she truly was, she didn't have any complaints. However she couldn't help but feel like there was something missing from her life. She did often feel lonely, which is partly why she became a teacher, as a last ditch attempt to not kill herself after getting divorced.
That's when it hit her, she's touch starved. She hasn't been touched since her divorce which was 4 years ago and she's 32 now. Yes she got married young, but she was a love sick teenager and married her high school sweet heart straight out of college. They divorced after she found out her ex husband had cheated on her with multiple different women, and one showed up with his baby at her front porch.
Boy was that a difficult time in her life. She cried non stop, she was so close to doing something stupid until she saw children running out of the high school. The teachers around them looked so happy, and eda felt so jealous..shed do anything for that kind of happiness, so she applied and got lucky. So for 2 years now she's been teaching.
She was right teaching made her happier but more than anything it was healthy distraction. "Ms eda!" Cassandra yelled. Eda jolted up, realizing Cassandra had been calling her. "Sorry! Hey.. Uh, what did you need?. " eda asked nervously, looking at the small blonde girl. "There's another teacher outside trying to talk to you, also can you help me put my hair clip in? I can Lt do it right" eda smiled. "Yeah, of course, come here" eda said, as Cassandra handed eda her hair clip.
Eda put it in, then rustled Cassandra's hair. "Why don't you guys head off? It's getting late" eda suggested. "Oo! Let's go torture the Apple stand guy!" Nakusa beamed. The other 2 immediately agreed and they jumped out edas window. That's not exactly what eda had in mind, but what could she really do? Then eda stood up, and opened her door.
"Hello? Can I help you?" Eda asked.
