Chapter 16: The trip home to New Jersey

"Have you all got everything?" Asked Gerard walking into Frank's, Ray's and Mikey's room.

"Almost, Frank is just showering" Ray replied. "Me and Mikey will meet you and Frank downstairs" Ray an Mikey walked out.

Frank was still in the shower singing, Gerard loved the sound of his voice, he admired it every single day. Just as much as he loves Frank as a person he couldn't stop smiling hearing Frank's voice.

"5th of November
When I walked you home
That's when I nearly said it
But then said "Forget it" and froze
Do you remember?
You probably don't

Yesterday, drank way too much
And stayed up too late
Started to write but I wanna say
Deleted the message, but I still remember it said

Wish I was the reason you stay up 'til 3

Waiting for me to reply

Wish I wasn't scared to be honest and open
Instead of just hoping
You'd feel what I'm feeling inside

April the 7th
And nothing has changed
It's hard to get by
When you're still on my mind every day
Sometimes I question
If you feel the same?
Do we make stupid jokes?
Trying to hide that we're both too afraid to say

I wish I was who you drunk texted at midnight
Wish I was the reason you stay up 'til 3
And you can't fall asleep
Waiting for me to reply
I wish I was more than just someone you walk by
Wish I wasn't scared to be honest and open
Instead of just hoping
You'd feel what I'm feeling inside

Oh, and here we go again
Destroy myself to keep my friend
Hiding away 'cause I was afraid you'd say no
I wonder if I cross your mind
Half as much as you do mine
If I tell you the truth
What will I lose?
I don't know

I wish I'd sent you that drunk text that midnight
I was just scared it would ruin our friendship
But I really meant it
I wonder how you would reply"

"Frankie, are you almost ready? We need to pick up Bitty B" Gerard shouted. He heard the shower turn off and heard the shower door open.

"I'll be out in a second, I'm just changing" Frank shouted. "While I'm changing can you start packing my things for me?" He asked the leader.

"Of course I can, my things are already on the bus, I'll message Aaron and tell him to pick up Bandit so we'll be ready before they get back" he said.

"Thanks Gee, you're the best" as Gerard was packing up Frank's things, he came out of the bath room "you're a darling, honestly the best" he smiled watching the leader zipping up the case.

"Anything for you Frankie" the leader said smiling, walking over to Frank and pulling him for a kiss. "I've missed your lips"

"So have I" Frank smiled against Gerard's lips. After half an hour the boys were stood outside the hotel waiting for the rest. The bus finally showed up and the door opened. Bandit tried to get off the bus "back on the bus misses!" Frank laughed as the boys put Frank's bags on the bus. They climbed on the bus and sat down as the door closed.

The bus took off to the airport "our favourite devil is meeting us there by the way" Gerard mocked. After half an hour, Bandit had fallen asleep. "I'll take her to my bunker" Gerard picked his daughter up and took her to his bunker then walked back into the main deck. He kept looking at the bar shaking.

"Hey, hey, Gee! You're shaking big bother, you're looking at the alcohol, we'll stop for a coffee and food then we'll carry on, okay?" Mikey explained as Gerard nodded with fear. "You're doing really well, we're proud of you big bro" he held is brother's leg. "We'll call mom, let her know we're on the way home"
