Chapter 8 - The Chuunin Exams part 3 - "The Elimination Games"

Naruto and Kiba were circling one another until Naruto found what he wanted he swung his sword but Kiba blocked the strike, Naruto then jabbed with his kunai, forcing Kiba to jump away but Naruto was still pressing the attack, Akamura tried to attack from Naruto's blindspot but was kicked directly in the face to the other side of the arena, Kiba then ran through signs for the lightning beam jutsu, Naruto saw this and pulled out the seal for absorbing the jutsu and returning it with double power to the user, Kiba had to dodge out the way but then thirty shadow clones were attacking him, many of the Jonin's in the stands thought Naruto was cheating but one look from the Jonin's that loved Naruto corrected them instantly, Kiba was still fending off the clones when Naruto came flying in with a kick that Kiba dodged, Kiba began dispelling clones hoping to get Naruto but then Naruto appeared in front of him with a flash step, his palm was showing the burning palm technique, Kiba knew this was going to hurt when Akamura pushed him out the way, they came to a halt and it had only been seven minutes but Kiba was panting, he never knew that this was how Naruto fought and it honestly was terrifying but he wouldn't back down yet. Him and Akamura ran through the signs for beast mimicry and now there were two Kiba's but Naruto just summoned fifty clones, Kiba was fighting an army with Akamura but he knew Naruto was just feeling him out for weaknesses so he had to keep his trump card a secret, Naruto's clones were eventually all dispelled but once Kiba looked up he saw his back coming towards him, of course it was the Akamura clone but it rammed straight into him and then Akamura was kicked straight into the wall and knocked out, Kiba and Naruto entered a taijutsu spar and Kiba was getting hit hard, Naruto would dodge, dodge, dodge, counter, counter, and then exploit something on Kiba, whether it was his blind side or an opening in his guard but then Kiba saw his opening, he then yelled out, "Fang over Fang, Gestuga!!!" Kiba then nailed Naruto directly in the face and appeared to knock him out, Kiba was ecstatic but knew Naruto he stayed in his stance until he felt cold steel on his neck, everyone was shocked but then the Naruto that was hit burst into a puff of smoke, Kiba then asked, "you knew I was hiding something huh?" Naruto answered, "I figured you had learned something and would try to lure me into it but you did a great job, I had to use about seventy percent of my strength on you," Kiba was happy to hear that because it meant he was getting stronger, Kiba then yielded because if it were a real battle, he would be dead right now, Hayate announced Naruto the winner and was now telling them to leave the area, Naruto and Kiba walked up the steps and everyone congratulated them for a good fight, Hayate then announced that the next fight was Sakura Haruno VS Ino Yamanaka. Both girls headed down and were staring across from one another, Ino knew that her mind transfer jutsu wouldn't work on Sakura because she was much stronger now but she still had a few other tricks up her sleeve, Sakura was planning to rush Ino and crush her, she was still grasping tactics and knew if she allowed Ino any time, she would lose, Hayate saw both kunoichi ready and then yelled for them to start, Sakura charged Ino and Ino smirked, Sakura was making craters into the walls and floor from Ino's dodging, this went on for a little while longer until Sakura noticed Ino's eyes closed the entire time, Ino had taken over a spectator and was looking for Sakura's blind spot, Sakura knew that this was when Ino was strongest so when Ino's sleepless like body started attacking back, she knew that the only way to defeat her was with one powerful blast to the face, Sakura then sent chakra to her feet and jumped to the ceiling and then jumped back like a speeding laser, Ino saw this and re-entered her body, she had been trying to add chakra to her fist as well so she was now trying again and this time succeeded so when Sakura came down and punched Ino, Ino had punched her back, this caused a giant explosion and pushed Hayate into the wall, everyone was shocked by the power that these two kunoichi displayed but unfortunately they knocked eachother out and caused a draw and a double elimination, four medical personnel then came and picked them both up and took them to the medical area. Hayate then called for Sasuke Uchiha VS Ganai Tockla, this match was over in a minute because Ganai was no match for Sasuke in just his base form, Sasuke electrocuted him and knocked him out in fourty-eight seconds. Hayate felt bad for Ganai because this was a very one-sided matchup but he moved on and called for Shikamaru Nara VS Tora Dakala, she thought because Shikamaru looked boring she could rush him and knock him out but as soon as she got close, Shikamaru shadow possessed her and forced her to surrender. Shikamaru only took twelve seconds to finish his fight, everyone was shocked because now Shikamaru was the wildcard, no one knew how he actually fought and Shikamaruwas smirking because of it. Now we had Choji Akimichi VS Dosu Kinuta, both entered the arena and Choji pulled out his great sword, Dosu pulled out a rather large cleaver and both were in their stances, Hayate then yelled for them to begin, Choji then ran through handsigns for his Earth Armor jutsu, thus complicating things for Dosu, Dosu still attacked but Choji's defense was amazing but then Dosu used a jutsu known as the penetrating fist, this attack hit choji and pushed him back, Choji chuckled and then pushed forward and was able to hit Dosu into the wall. Both boys continued attacking and landing blow after blow, no dodges, no counters, just an all in brawl to see who would stand and who would fall, Choji's sword and Dosu's cleaver connected and they both held eachother at bay, both were gritting their teeth but then Dosu felt his cleave push through, he swung his cleaver and sent Choji's sword flying but hit air, that's when he looked down because Choji had let his sword go and dodged out the way, he was now muttering a new jutsu known only as the "mountain's hammer fist," this fist had nothing but the earth's power behind it, this jutsu depended on one's affiliation to the earth and how strong of a connection you had with it, Dosu gritted his teeth and was then hit straight into the face by this massive fist, he flew and implanted into the wall and was knocked unconscious. Hayate declared Choji the winner, Hayate then called for Shino Aburame VS Zaku Abumi, Zaku was the one who almost was killed by Sasuke in the forest of death but he felt confident against Shino, Shino was calm and collected, he knew that Zaku used sound to attack so he just would need to stop Zaku from speaking. Hayate yelled start and before Zaku could do anything, Shino bodyflickered right in front of him with his sword in hand, Zaku was dodging left and right but couldn't shake Shino, this was frustrating Zaku so he kicked out at Shino, but Shino had calculated the possibility of a kick due to frustration so he capitalized on the attempt and cut the nerves to Zaku's leg, Zaku screamed and then attempted a jutsu but Shino kicked him straight in the jaw, Zaku was sent tumbling and then got up, he was now far enough away to use his jutsu, he smirked crazily and then used his sound jutsu to kill Shino but nothing happened, Zaku was confused so he attacked again but this time he saw Shino cut his attack in half, this baffled Zaku because no one had ever done something like that, Zaku then screamed, "how....how....how did you cut sound waves," Shino then smirked, "well it's an easy calculation if I know where your going to attack, I just watched your eyes," everyone was shocked except for Naruto, Shino's father, some of the Jonin's, and Shikamaru but they all found it quite scary how skilled Shino was now with a blade, but Naruto did say that Shino had the perfect body for kenjutsu. Shino cut through two more attacks and then threw two of his bugs at Zaku, Zaku laughed because his bugs had dissappeared and did nothing but then Zaku tried attacking and nothing came out, he then looked up in horor because Shino had blocked his supply of Chakra, Zaku then limped forward and attempted to kick Shino with his other leg, just to get his nerves cut again, Zaku's face hit straight into the ground, Shino then used the handle of his sword to knock Zaku unconscious. Hayate announced Shino the winner, Hayate was shocked that there was so many one-sided fights but he knew that the next round would be scary, he then asked for Tenten VS Kin Tsuchi, both genin were in position when Hayate yelled start, Kin was a wind user and Tenten was a weapons specialist, mixed with fuuinjutsu, Tenten released hundreds of weapons at Kin but Kin just used jutsu after jutsu to redirect the weapons, both girls were getting tired when Tenten ran forward and collected four throwing knives, a boomerang, two Swords, and one kunai. Kin saw Tenten advancing but was caught off guard by a boomerang almost hitting her in the face, she jumped back and was preparing the wind scythe jutsu when she saw Tenten throw four knives at her, she now had to use her jutsu to stop the knives coming at her but now Tenten was almost on top of her with two Swords drawn and ready, Kin then pulled out a scythe and countered the two Swords but then a kunai came out of no where and forced Kin to dodge to the left, that's when Kin saw Tenten smirk but that was exactly when she remembered the boomerang but It was to late when the boomerang hit her in the back of the head and Tenten then held a sword to Kin's throat and forced her surrender. Alot of people were shocked by the display of skill from Tenten but Sasuke wanted to challenge her, Naruto and Shikamaru thought that her skill lied in her ability to use a calm and strategic mind to make her opponent follow exactly how she wanted them to. Hayate then announced the next fight Temari no Sabaku VS Sakai Karoma, Hayate said start and Temari did exactly that, she used her fan to make a tornado and blast Sakai straight into the ceiling, knocking him unconscious. Hayate came back out and called for Kankuro no Sabaku VS Iromi Sanda, Hayate had them start but Kankuro just pulled out a puppet and Iromi thought that it would be weak, not realizing that this was a ninja puppet so she was blasted straight into the wall and also had a knife lodged in her shoulder, she screamed and surrendered, Hayate then announced Kankuro as the winner. Next we have Rock Lee VS Gaara no Sabaku, both genin entered the arena, Naruto and everyone else felt a small shiver for the battle to come, Kakashi was seated next to the carbon copy of Rock Lee, his name was Might Guy, Naruto looked at the man and could tell he was very powerful but so was Rock Lee, he just worried that Lee would wait to long to get serious and could possibly get hurt. Naruto knew that Lee and Guy were eight gate users, which was the use of pressure points or tenketsu to empower a person, this was then dubbed the eight inner gates formation and it was very hard to learn and extremely straining on the body so your body must be very strong and in top shape in order to use it.
