Later that night, as Henry is getting ready to put the day behind him and get some much deserved rest, there's a knock on his door.
-"Enter."
-"I apologize for disturbing you so late, Your Majesty, but I was wondering if you have a moment?" - Bella speaks softly.
-"Of course."
-"I just wanted to thank you properly for saving my daughter."
-"You don't need to thank me. I would do it again in a heartbeat."
-"Still, thank you. I don't know what I would've done if I had lost her."
-"There's no need to think about it, My Lady. Alexis is safe and Josh is taking measures to prevent something like this from ever happening again. How is Alexis?"
-"She's still a bit shaken, but better than when she first arrived. She told me what you did to save her and how you spared the man's life at her request."
-"I only did it so she wouldn't be even more traumatized."
-"I don't understand you. One moment you are kind and selfless, but the next you're cold hearted and somewhat evil."
-"I am what I am. You and I, we're just two sides of the same coin."
-"I don't believe that." - Her voice raises slightly, anger backing it up. -"I am nothing like you."
Henry sees Arabella storm out and shakes his head, thinking that she clearly took what he just said the wrong way.
He walks over to the liquor table, pouring himself a glass and downing it in one go, as he wishes he had phrased it better. He should explain to her what he meant, if she is ever to see him as something other than the Devil.
