Starry Night

On the grass I lay, under your celestial grace,

Sky dances in your light, a radiant embrace.

When chill creeps in, your warmth I behold,

Amidst my rainstorm, your brilliance unfolds.

As night unfurls its cloak, clouds paint the moon's glow,

I search the skies, yearning for your celestial show.

Yet, you're elusive, vanished from sight,

Leaving me to face the darkness of night.

Awakened from slumber, summer's warmth fleeting,

I seek solace but find only shadows, repeating.

Rain clouds gather, casting gloom overhead,

In their midst, I wander, lost and misled.

Days pass by, sorrow weighing heavy on my soul,

I cry out, pleading for your light to console me.

Why do you hide, withholding your grace?

In anguish, I shake the trees, seeking your embrace.

Time ebbs on, your absence persists,

Hoping for your return, in your radiance, I persist.

Grant me once more the warmth of your touch,

Until then, I'll endure; fate's hand I clutch.

Sunlight, remember me in your gentle glow,

Though changed, I remain, longing to bask and grow.

I cannot pledge who I was in days long past,

But with your light, I'll navigate this path steadfast
