6.2. The Hive

It felt like Alex had just woken up when she was hit in the face with a pie. It felt like someone had cut the strings from her puppet and she was free. She was very confused, but she went straight over to Aneisha.

"Aneisha, it worked! We're OK!" Alex heard Dan shout.

"What the hell is happening right now!" Alex shouted over the sound of the school shouting 'riot'.

"Just drab a pie" Tom yelled a through a pie at someone.

"Glad to have you back guys" Aneisha said to her teammate.

"Good to be back." Dan said in reply.

"You have a lot to explain" Alex told Aneisha as she picked up a pie at aimed it at the people that she doesn't like.

"Get them" The minister tried to order. The team just continued to throw pies and use the water blasters.

"You spineless children!" Alex watched as Zoe made her way down to the front where the minister was standing with a pie in hand. The minister must have worked out what Zoe was going to do, but it was too late. Zoe pulled her arm back and through her pie into the minister's face. Everyone watched and cheered as the minister walked away.

"Let's get out of this madhouse."

"Really, Mr McNab, I go away for a few days, and this is what happens?" Mr Flatly says as he walked into the hall. Alex just watches as Mr McNab started to shout again.

"Right, you lot!"

"Watch this..." Alex heard Jimmy say to the camera and watched as he picked up a pie. Alex just watched with a huge smile on her face.

"I will not tolerate..." Mr McNab was cut off when a pie landed on his red face. Jimmy just laughed and Alex tried to wipe off some of the pie that was on her face.

Mr Flatly just sent everyone home as there was no point staying at school looking like a mess.

When Alex got home, she was bombarded with questions from her mum on why she had come home in such a state when she went to school all neat and tidy. Alex just explained that there was a food fight which was in some way the truth. Alex just jumped straight into the shower and got cleaned up and she changed straight into her pjs.

Alex sat crossed legged on her bed reading a Blade Quest book she borrowed from Tom, and she tried to ignore the green glowing numbers and letters on her thigh.

It was the next day, and the student were back and wearing there uniform how they would normally wear it. Dans tie was wonky, and Alex's shirt was untucked. Zoe however, had a different approach to making her uniform her own.

"Zoe, are you OK?" Aneisha asked as she walked up to her teammates and saw what Zoe was wearing.

"It's my new look. After the past few days, I decided that being like everybody else is for losers" Dan and Alex smiled and tried not to laugh and Tom just looked amused. No one had the heart to tell Zoe that what she was wearing was awful she looked so proud of herself.

"You're going to have to say something to her." Dan muttered to Aneisha. He had said the same thing to Alex earlier, but she saw how happy Zoe was about being different to everyone else, she just told Zoe to embrace her new style.

"I love it, Zoe, I wouldn't change it for the world." Aneisha said completely ignoring what Dan had said. Dan just looked up at the sky and sighed in disbelief. Mr Flatly walked over to the group with Frank and they were holding brooms and bin bags.

"Right, children, your punishment for the mess you made yesterday is to clear it all up." Mr Flatly said cheerfully.

Everyone made their way inside and spend the rest of the morning cleaning up the art room and the hall.

A/N:

I don't know if you remember (as I have only mentioned it once at the end of chapter 1.5) that Alex has M:7:3:A:L:X:2 on her thigh (it's like the one Zoe and Sam/Chole has on their arm) I just added it in this chapter just to show that I haven't forgotten about that storyline I am just waiting until I get to a certain episode where all will be explained and I will be adding a flashback in the episode as well.

As for a little explanation for where I have been, college has been eating up all my time as I have had so many assignments overlapping each other and it became very stressful, but the assignments are all finished now, (I just have one to resub) and I only have a few weeks left of college then I go back in September. So, I have plenty of writing time. I have also started The Nowhere Boys fanfic drafts so they may be uploaded in the summer term.
