Y'know I really get a kick out of swooning girls and it boosts my ego to flirt, but when i do it with Lute its just different; she is like a brick wall! Every line i know, she has a great comeback or she just completely ignores it! I mean cmon youd think just bc Im THE first man literally EVER?! maybe she'd show even the smallest inkling of a crush? But no! And ive been trying, the most I have gotten out of her was the little blush she gave me today, and while still a victory; i need more, its not like shes significantly special or anything I just really wanna see that side of her

So anyways I chill around my place for a while enjoying my alone time even though I really wanted to spend my offtime today with Lute. I give her shit a lot but she is truly the most hardworking angel ive ever seen. So i guess i oughta give her kahoots here and there.

When I see what time it is I get excited, and head out of the house. Now that i promoted Lute she lives so close, so its fun AND easy to bother her now. Since she said that shed be ready at 5:45, just to piss her off im gonna get to her place early.

When she opened the door you woulda thought she saw a sinner at her door, I mean her jaw was on the floor, and her brow furrowed like she was upset. I love getting a rise out of her. Once she let me in she asks if i was trying to upstage her(when am i not🤔) but in all seriousness she looked amazing. Of course Im not one to tell her straight up though. But finally she finished up getting ready and we left for the bar. Once we get there were having a cocktail and talking about next year's extermination, and i just cant shake these certain thoughts. She is so smart, so insightful, she brings up really amazing fighting points that I wish i wouldve thought of.

After a few too many i could tell Lute was getting a little more than tipsy and I was starting to feel it as well. I see Lute coming back from her bathroom trip and I wave her over to see if she's ready to leave

A-"hey hotstuffs are you ready to dip?"

L-"y-yeah that sounds like a great idea sir"

As we walk out I can tell shes trying really hard to keep her balance, I have never seen her like this, im not even judging; its just kinda comforting that shes letting me see this side of her. She's so professional and nonchalant about everything. Seeing her this relaxed and laughing, its a very nice change of scenery. As we approach her door I literally feel my heart sink, Ive always enjoyed her presence but it was so different this night. I really didnt wanna go back to my lame apartment all by myself and i wouldnt have anyone to talk to and laugh with. I really didnt want it to end.

A-"Well babes I guess thats all for our night
on the town. See you in the morning?"

L-"what? its only 11:40! the nights still young, come in and we can play minecraft or something"

Well... I mean shes the one inviting me- really who would i be to say no? I gladly took her up on that offer. When I said yes and started walking in i could see her face light up. She starts up the tv and immediately waltz into the kitchen and starts making popcorn.

A-"hey lutie cutie whatcha making?"

L-"im making popcorn is it okay if we watch a movie?"

A-"So you invite me over with the guise of minecraft but once im comfy you change your mind?"

L-" Hey shut up ur sitting on the couch either way"

I mean i guess shes right but i was looking forward to spawning random animals in her minecraft house. I really find so much fun in pissing her off.
Once she pours the popcorn into a bowl and she comes and sits down next to me. She said i could pick the movie so obviously I put on Superbad. Weve watched this movie together a few times so I know we both like it. I could tell she was looking woozy or maybe tired once she sat down. As we were snacking and watching the show I realized how close she sat down next to me. Im used to her being on my side literally like all day long, but i mean she was so close i could feel her body heat, and for some reason this time being so close to her just tied my stomach in a knot. We ended up not even watching the show and we were just talking about band stuff, then she brought up the bar we had left a few hours ago.

L-"i mean honestly i was just surprised you werent oogling over any of the chicks at the pool table. Now i think about it i havent heard you whining over ANY the random bitches you babble about constantly"

A-"I-ugh, I mean its just not that serious. Im kinda over the basic chicks that hang iut there. They all just clamor at my feet and its just the same song and dance every time."

L-" Wow.. Absolutely never expected you to say that. Like literally ever."

A-"i mean Im sure its just a short phase I know ill be back banging backs out soon enough."

L-"Now THERES the Adam i know"
Im surprised she noticed that. Hell i didnt even notice that until she brought it up. But im just chilling with my lieutenant! Its not like that were just hanging out.. just chilling. on her couch.. under the same blanket..and i guess we are sitting kinda close but its only bc were sharing the popcorn.

I watch her slowly get more and more sleepy when all of a sudden i feel her slowly lean on me with basically all her body weight. like she just went limp on my shoulder. At first i was scared, until i heard her cute little snore that made me understand the situation more. Lute was sleeping on my shoulder. I could feel her breath on my arm while she dozed deep into a nice nap. I wouldve woken her up if she wasnt so damn adorable like this. I wanted to savor the moment bc I didnt want her to wake up and feel bad or embarrassed, but i also wanted her to sleep comfortably in her bed. I was frozen there not knowing what to do.

I really loved watching her in such a calm relaxed state. Especially considering all day i ever see from her is >:|

The more I look at her the more relaxed i feel, and i eventually let myself fall asleep with my arm around her.
