I'm lying across my bed in the RV, trying to get a nap in. I have no idea where we're going nor do I know how long it's going to take to get there. My earlier thoughts about trying to keep a sleep schedule have gone out the window. I need rest and I need it now. I can't afford to waste any time.

As I'm nearly about to fall asleep, my phone goes off with a text message. Huffing, I grab for it, Melissa's name flashing across the screen.

I knit my brow, sitting up.

Scowling because I remember Willa and how she invited all of my friends to her birthday party a few years ago but decided not to invite me, I settle back against my pillows
