I wipe my tears and look at the pictures of me and my family. I look happy, but the truth is I wasn't. I felt alone. That's how I always feel. No one was home. I scream and cry. Why can't I be happy, like a normal person? Why am I different?

My phone starts to ring. I see Dana's name on the screen. I calm myself down. I answer the phone and I sound like nothing is wrong.

"Hey babe." He says.

"Hey." I say

"Can I come over?"

"Yeah sure."

"Okay I'll be there."

"Bye." I hang up the phone and start to clean up the mess and was my face so you can't tell I was crying.

I hear the doorbell ring. I go downstairs and answer the door. I let Dana in and I lock the door behind me. We walk to my room. We sit on the bed. He stares at me and I start to worry where this is going. Is he going to break up with me? He leans in and kisses me. He puts his hand to my cheek. His hand then goes to the bottom of my shirt and tugs at it. I look at him and we just sit there looking at each other. I put my hands to my shirt and was about to take it off when the doorbell rang.

He laughs and so do I. I'm actually relived. I get up and go downstairs to answer the door.

"What are you doing here?" I say to him.

"It's Friday."my dad says.

"I forgot." I say.

"It's fine just get your stuff and we'll go." He tells me

Dana doesn't know about my dad and how I go with him every weekend. I start to panic.

"Okay, I'll go do that." I say and quickly go upstairs.

I walk into my room and close the door with my back to the door. Dana looks at me.

"Who was it?" He asks.

"You need to go. Like now." I say and grab a bag and start putting clothes in it.

"Where are you going?" He asks

"Um I'm going to Destiny's." I say and close the bag

"Okay. I'll see you later." He says

He comes up to me and kisses me. I start to smile. He pulls away

"I love you." He says

"I love you."I say and smile.

He opens my door and I smile at him. Oh shit. I grab his arm and pull him back in.

"Wait not that way!" I whisper yell.

"Why?"

"My mom is down there. She doesn't know you're here." I lie.

I take off my sweats and put on some jeans.

"How am I supposed to get out then?"He asks.

I grab my shoes and put them on. We both look at the window.

"No."

"I love you." I say and quickly peck his lips then leave the room.

"Okay let's go."I tell me dad

I lock the door and then we get in his car. He pulls out of the car and then I see Dana. Crap. I didn't think this through. He sees me and I know he's confused.

I text him.

I'll explain on Sunday.

I see him look at his phone. We leave the neighborhood then are on our way to my dad's.

"So you just hid the is from me?!" He yelled at me

"Well when it happened you were barely talking to me and I don't think this was exactly a conversation starter!"

"Why are you bringing that up?! I admitted I screwed up!"

"Well you're asking why I didn't tell you! That's why I didn't tell you."

"And when we started dating again? Why didn't you tell me then?"

"It wasn't important."

"Fine. Is there anything else?"

I take a deep breath.

"I'm moving." I whisper.

"What the fuck?!" He yells

I'm glad his parents weren't here. We were screaming at each other.

"Well we weren't talking! What the hell was I supposed to do?!"

"So you've known about this for months?!"

"I'm sorry! I would've told you, but we weren't talking then we broke up. When we got back together I sorta forgot."

"You don't just forget something like this Mel!"

"I'm sorry!"

"When?!"

"Next week, but I'm still going to go to school here."

"Next week?! You got to be kidding me!"

"I'm still going to school here! It's not like I'm moving across the country! I'm moving 20 minutes away! You act like we're never going to see each other again!"

"What happens when your mom can't bring you anymore? What happens when you don't have anywhere to go after school? How are you getting home? You don't think!"

"For your information I do have it figured out! I did think! So don't just assume things! You don't know shit!"

I feel tears start to fall. I quickly wipe them and grab my bag.

"I don't have to take this." I say and walk out the door

"Mel!" He calls after me.

I run down the stairs then leave his house. I start to walk to my house and wipe my tears. My phone starts to ring. I see Dana's name. I scoff then answer the phone.

"What?!" I answer

"Come back."

"No! Okay you think I'm so stupid and I don't know what I'm doing. You were the one who wasn't talking to me! It's not my fault you checked out! If you didn't want to talk to me or treat me like your girlfriend I shouldn't have to tell you things!"

"I'm sorry okay?"

"Yeah whatever." I say and hang up the phone

I keep walking home as the voices in my head start to rise.
