I walk home with Ruby and listen to her talk about Joseph. I keep thinking about P.E.

"Dana's in my P.E class."I say

"Oh,sorry about that."

"I don't know if you should be sorry. In class he just kept looking at me and I kept looking at him. Does that mean anything?"

"It could,but Mel I don't want you to get hurt if you get your hopes up. You never really get your hopes up for anything and I don't want him to ruin that."She says.

"I know."

When I get home my mom and Ryan are there.

"Hey."I say

"So how was the first day?" My mom asks.

"Good."

"How about you Ry?"

"Good." He answers

It's the last day of the first week of school. When me and Ruby get there I go to Marie and get the sweater Dana bought me and give it to her.

"Can you give this to him?"I ask

She give a me a sympathetic look and takes it.

"Sure."She says

Everyone is treating me like I'm so weak. I am, but they don't need to know that. Marie,Ruby, and Destiny know about how I used to cut. They probably think I'm doing it again. I need to act like I don't care. I have to pretend he means nothing to me. It's easy for him,maybe it'll be easy for me too.

It's lunch now and Marie joins us on the floor.

"Did you give it to him?"I ask

"Yeah."

"What did he says? Did he look sad?" I ask and laugh.

She rolls her eyes.

"Did he look sad?" I ask.

"I'm not going to tell you if you keep being mean to him about it."She says

"Marie can I talk to you?"

"Yeah."

Me and her get up and walk away from the group.

"The only reason I'm acting like this is because I broke up with him and he didn't even care. I broke up with him and I got hurt. I wanna know if he looked sad because I need to know if I'm the only one who feels this way,so I can move on or keep waiting."I confess and feel on the verge of tears.

She studies my face to make sure I'm telling her the truth.

"Yes, he looked sad."

"He did?"

"Yeah. After gave it back to him and said it was from you he just said okay with this sad look on his face then looked away."She says

I nod then we go back to the group.

It was P.E and today my class was going to be with Dana's class. Me and him did what we normally did,kept looking at each other.

I'm crazy,he doesn't feel that way anymore. He probably moved on. My mind goes back to before me and him dated.

-Flashback-
"Melody, I have to tell you something."Destiny tells me.

"Okay." I say

"I like him."She says

"Okay."

"Okay."She replies

I start to walk away when it hits me.

"Wait!" I calm after her

She stands in front of me.

"Who do you like?"I ask.

"Him."

"Jose?" I asks thinking that's what she meant.

"No...Dana."She says and my jaw drops.

"What?"

"Melody,I'm so sorry. I've been hanging out with him to talk him about you. I don't know,he's not bad."

"Okay."

"Are you mad?"She asks

"No,I can't control how you feel."I she at honestly

"Mel, I'm so sorry."

"It's okay,really."

-End of Flashback-

About a month later me and Dana got together. She stopped liking him after a week. At least she said she did. I really wasn't mad at her and she didn't have a problem with me and him dating.

Me and Erik were just leaving the cafeteria. I decided to have breakfast with him here at school.

"Hey Melody,look Dana is behind you."Dalton tells me as me and Erik are leaving.

"Shit. Let's go." I say and rush Erik out the door.

When we get out I hear Dalton laughing as he chases after us.

"That was Dana's cousin." Dalton says still laughing.

"That wasn't funny." I say and hit his arm.

"Yes it was." He says

"He looks like him." Erik says.

"Yeah. His name is Chris."

"Really?"

"Yeah. Okay bye I see Cameron coming in." He says.

"I wanna see Cam."I say and drag Erik along

I'm so sorry it took so long. I was busy.

10+ and 5+ for next chapter. Also I don't know if Dana actually has a cousin named Chris, I just needed him to have some family member come to the same school.
