y/n's PoV:

You pump some cleanser into the palm of your hand, and you start double cleansing your face, slowly stripping away the make up. Obviously there's multiple options as to how to go about Charles.

You could try to forgive and forget, but that feels quite ambitious with everything that has transpired. It's not that simple.

Otherwise, you could call him or meet up with him, asking to discuss everything - that would end in chaos though. He's hot headed, so are you sometimes, and you're very stubborn. Even if you were to just come to him only to listen, waiting for a much needed, genuine apology, you're not sure you could give him a hug afterwards and tell him "I forgive you fully, let's be us again".

Yet again, it's overly ambitious.

You could continue cutting him out of your life, but that would at some point probably make everyone around you burst. You're currently living in denial; hurting and trying to heal and process what occurred, while everyone else is facing the rift. They're trying to deal with it the best they can, catering to your needs more so than to his, which you're sorry for, but you can't change other people's actions.

It's already taken its toll on Pierre, but you're not sure he even realised it, or maybe he didn't want to. Fall In Love With You by Montell Fish.

It's simply not an option for the long term, and frankly, you've been doing this for a few months now. You didn't even manage to get through half the racing season; You've been freezing him out, and making it everyone's issue, except for yours, for the rest of last season, and the break. And in a bit, the new season will start again... So it's truly been a few weeks now.

You pat dry your face with one of the fresh towels. The smell of laundry detergent is calming - it's the one your Mom used when you were younger. You start brushing your teeth.

The last option you thought of, was probably the most fool-proof, non-invasive one. You'll just focus on yourself, encourage Pierre to do whatever he wants with Charles, while you slowly become civil again. Slipping in the occasional nods or "heys" in passing, eventually having short conversations with him, and someday then, forgiving everything, maybe not forgetting it, but forgiving it for the time being, given that he doesn't throw tantrums and he accepts Pierre and you together.

There's an eyelash on your cheek - you swipe it away. Nantes by Beirut. You pull out your moisturiser from your little makeup bag. You spread it out evenly all over your skin.

That method would take you swallowing your pride quite a bit... To be honest, you want to hear Mary's, Pierre's and Enzo's respective opinions on that way of going about it. You kind of discussed it with Mary already, but not in depth, more so the consequences of the other methods...

You turn off the light and the music, and you head back into the darkened bedroom. Pierre's breath is slow, deep and even, and he's far gone in Dreamland already.

His arm has stretched out onto your side of the bed, and you scooch closer to him once you've tucked yourself in. His breath smells like the Gin he's been drinking all night - he'll be violently hung over tomorrow morning...

As if he knows that you're next to him, he turns towards you, pulling you into his arms. You'll see what Mary thinks about your preferred method of reconciliation tomorrow morning. With Gasly by your side, you close your eyes, slowly drifting away into sleep yourself.
