Mishti's P.O.V.

After my conversation with Arhaan, I couldn't bear to stay there any longer. I needed to find solace, so I made my way to the backyard, hoping to calm my racing thoughts.

As soon as I reached the secluded spot, a wave of anguish washed over me, and I let out a guttural scream, my cries echoing in the emptiness.

ahhhh ahhhhhhhhhhhhahhhhhhhhhhh i screamed.

Why does it hurt so much? Why do I feel this ache in my chest whenever I think of Arhaan? Why do I yearn to be close to him, to feel his comforting embrace? Why?

My questions lingered in the air, unanswered and tormenting me as tears streamed down my face.

Sitting there amidst my tears, I found myself reminiscing about the moments we shared, the moments that, though initiated by him, I cherished deeply, yet never confessed to him.

Lost in my thoughts and consumed by sorrow, I didn't notice someone approaching until a gentle hand rested on my shoulder.

"Arhaan, please leave," I whispered, my voice choked with emotion, as I instinctively pushed away the touch.

"It's me, Mishti... Arhaan's mom," came a soft voice, breaking through my anguish.

iI turned to face her, tears blurring my vision. "I'm sorry, Maa. I thought it was Arhaan," I confessed, my voice choked with sorrow.

"Why are you dwelling on him if you chose to leave?" Maa questioned softly, her gaze filled with understanding.

I remained silent, unable to articulate the turmoil raging within me.

"You deserve happiness, Mishti. You made the choice to move forward, to pursue a peaceful life free from the burdens of the past," Maa continued, her voice gentle yet firm.

I listened, but the ache in my heart remained, a constant reminder of the love I once held for Arhaan.

"Mishti, my dear, perhaps it's time to forgive him, to embrace the possibility of a future together," Maa suggested, her words carrying the weight of wisdom.

"How?" I whispered, my voice barely audible amidst the turmoil of my emotions.

Maa reached out, enveloping me in a comforting embrace. "With time, forgiveness will come. And when it does, you'll find the strength to accept him once more."

"Mishti, my dear," Maa began gently, her voice carrying a soothing tone, "I understand the turmoil you're going through. But it's crucial to acknowledge and confront your feelings."

I nodded, though uncertainty still lingered in my heart.

"You loved Arhaan deeply, and that love doesn't simply vanish because you chose to part ways," Maa continued, her eyes filled with empathy. "It's natural to feel conflicted, to long for what once was."

Tears welled up in my eyes as I struggled to come to terms with her words.

"Mishti, forgiveness doesn't mean forgetting or condoning what happened. It means releasing yourself from the bitterness and resentment that weigh you down," Maa explained, her voice unwavering yet compassionate.

I took a deep breath, trying to absorb her wisdom.

"Allow yourself to feel, Mishti. Acknowledge the pain, the love, the longing," Maa urged, her hand gently squeezing mine. "Only then can you begin to heal and move forward."

Her words resonated within me, stirring a newfound sense of clarity amidst the chaos of my emotions.

"But what if I'm not ready to forgive him?" I whispered, my voice trembling with vulnerability.
