THERE WAS A GLOW over Pandora, the world becoming dark with the sky turning a luscious mix of gold, pinks, and blues. The world around seemed to respond with its glowing colors. The dense jungle surrounded the ground below the floating islands. The moss that dripped from them reached down to the ground of the pandora. A large floating cliff stood out from the rest, with its largeness and the vast color vibrating with nature surrounding it.

The expanse of the Hallelujah Mountains was something that even took the breath away of those who lived their whole lives exploring. A figure sat at the tip of the island surrounded by the soft glowing moss beneath them. Black hair flowing with the wind, high ears flicking with each whisper of the breeze.

Slender body tucked close to itself, blue skin blending with the sky behind them. Yellow eyes that seemed to glow with the growing darkness surrounding them. A tail flicked behind them, messing with the soft dirt. Her sharp eyes closed with a deep breath, and her mind felt light as she let it drift back to the memory she often found herself at.

And when she opened her eyes, she found herself as that familiar little girl- clinging to her father.

"Papa?" The girl muttered, her hands poking at the relaxed face of her father, her wide and innocent yellow eyes flickering over each dot that littered the young man's face. "Papa.." The girl said again, her three fingers poking at her father's face harder.

A humming sound made a smile grace her face, her front tooth missing. "My little tsawksyul." His voice was soft, warm. It reminded her of the warmth of a fire on a cold day, the comfort of her home. She giggled when her father grabbed her waist, plucking her from his chest and setting her down beside him as he sat up, tail wrapping around her as she climbed onto him like a monkey.

"Story, Papa." She asked, tugging at his ear as he smiled, standing up as she let out a high-pitched laugh and clung to his back. "Patience ma'Ka'yi." Her father tuts, but he was all but mad. He trudged along, the weight of his daughter making him smile. He walks slowly, waving to any Na'vi he sees, a soft smile on his youthful face.

They made their way to the tree that sat to the right of hometree. A large tree that curved to the side, providing coverage from the sun. A plush amount of moss at the base of the tree. Ka'yi jumped down from her father, laughing as she moved to sit in her spot. As he father sat she clung to him, his warmth making her eyes close as she fought back a yawn.

"Which story would you like?" Her father asked his warm smile still present, his fingers caressing her chubby face. "The one the Sarentu told you." Ka'yi leaned into his touch, eyes wide with anticipation as she cuddled more into his warmth. His voice was deep, soothing like the melody of Eywa, filling her with warmth.

She listened to the story, gasping at any suspense, and clinging to her father with every turn. She listened as he spoke about the history, the first Toruk Makto, Entu. She waited patiently for her father to finish the story before asking.

"Do you think I could be Toruk Makto?" She asked, her eyes wide and full of hope. "I believe you will be a great warrior, and I believe Toruk would be lucky to have you as its rider." Her father said, poking her stomach with his fingers and smiling as his daughter laughed and giggled, acting out how she was going to become the next Toruk. "Papa, when I become Toruk, I'll take you flying over the ocean like you wish." She said, sitting back down- eyes soft. Her father's Ikran, Lo'tl, died when her father was younger, and her father never had the strength to move on.

"I know you will, Ma'Ka'yi." He uttered.

And then the next thing she saw as the innocent shell of herself was dirt, dirt disturbed from its peace and resting spot. Dirt stained with red, dirt stained with sin.

Her yellow eyes were frantically darting around, hands gripping at the wet dirt as her breaths came out in short pants, her small body struggling to keep up with the rapid inflation of her lungs as her eyes stung with tears

Her mouth trembled, a small whimper falling from her trembling lips as her body shakes with messy rhythm. Her mind was hazy, she couldnt think of much but the mess infront of her. Her yellow eyes darted like a cornered animal, her body backed into the rough bark that scratched angry red marks into her blue skin.

Her feet kicked at the dirt beneath her, her hands grasping at the small toy knife she had tucked in her loincloth. Holding it out shakely infront of her with another soft cry from her lips. Her eyes darted up the legs of the grey suit that stood infront of her, the mocking voice coming from the filters of the suit filling her sensitive ears.

Ka'yi spit out a whimper again, blood spitting from her lips as she gasped another breath. She felt the hard roughness of the metal pressing into her body agian, nudging her body further into the bark of the tree.

Ka'yi spit a weak hiss in their direction, her body moving over her fathers, her eyes still filled with tears as she hissed again and again at the humans, holding the knife and protecting her father.

"Ke tsun oe hìm!" She heard herself shout from muffled ears as she slashed the knife into the air at the fast aproaching Avatar that held a grey contraption. The same thing that let of a loud bang, the same thing that made her ears ring. The same thing that was the fault for her fathers hesitating breath and red stained blue skin.

And then she was back, just as fast as she was gone, her eyes opened to the cold world and her breathing all but calm. Her mouth pressed down, eyes fluttering with the stinging of the water that threatened to escape the yellow prison they were in. Her body shuddering, ears drooping and a shuddering breath leaving her mouth. Her head felt heavy, like she was carrying the whole weight of a thanator on it- her mouth dry as a ball sized knot found home in her throat.

Her body shifted, her long legs lifting the rest of her body as she felt her feet dug into the softness of the dirt below them. Her tail shifted behind her, and her ears flicked with the kisses of the soft breeze. And her eyes shifted to the edge of the mountain. To which her feet followed.

Her mouth opened, a loud-clicking sound vibrating her throat and echoing around her as her eyes darted around- her body tense as she waited. Her ears flickered when a distant rumbling came from the distance, the breeze picking up as a loud sound replied to her.

A small breath left her lips as her body released the tension, and her feet carried her further to the edge. Her heartbeat reached her ears, the slight fast paste sound echoing in her mind as she stepped to the edge, toes gripping at the moss to keep her stable.

With a deep breath, she allowed her body to fall. Her heart jumped, her mind went blank as the wind whistled through her ears, the cold air blasting on her body and her eyes closing as she let out a loud yelping sound, the sound barely heard by herself over the loud whistling of the wind surrounding her.

Her hair whipped around her, her eyes struggling to open when the loud sound of her ikran sounded below her. Her eyes darted below her, meeting the sight of her Ikran flying below her, large wings beating the air around them.

Ka'yi let out another sound, watching as her ikran spread her winds widely, a boost of air pushing its large body up enough where Ka'yis hands grasped onto the handle of the harness, her upper body straining as she pulled herself down onto the saddle. Hands found the familiar grooves as she slotted her feet in place, body belt as her hand reached out to the antenna on her Ikrans head- pulling it close as she slid her braid over her shoulder.

She connected with her ikran with a quick movement, a rush of adrenaline filling her body- pupils dilating as she connected her thoughts and feelings with the large creature. "Good job Se'ayl." She spoke, a softness to her voice as she pats the tough and thick skin.
