As my men and I drew closer to the penthouse hiding in the shadows the hung from the trees in central park 100 feet away. I searched all entry points to find they were all heavily guarded, even many of the upper floor windows had guards posted making it impossible to enter without being detected. If we were going to get in and find Takeru and Risha safely then we needed a new plan and fast.
"Young master, what do you wish for us to do?" Yang asked quietly preparing himself for battle as the rest of my men. I could sense the determination and loyalty oozing from my all my men as they waited for my instructions and checked their guns and knives. It was almost like they would all charge the building to rescue Takeru and Risha without hesitation if I asked it.
"We need to find a different entry point. One with les-..." I said as I was stopped mid-sentence when out of the corner of my eye I spotted movement running from the Penthouse. I could only see that it was a group of men in the shadows running from the penthouse and one of them were clutching what looked like a small child. Without hesitation I took chase and as I drew closer, I could hear it was a little girl crying out Takeru's name.
"Stop them and retrieve the child now!" I ordered; the Gemini twins spread the orders then took lead in catching the group as we ran through the darken alley's of the city. I lost sight of the group and the Twins momentarily but once I caught up to them I saw that my men had the group dressed in black cornered in a dead end alley at gun point. I saw the small child but I couldn't tell if it was Risha or not since the child was covered and tucked her face into the man's neck hiding away.
"Who are you?" I said as my men step aside revealing me to the group of men.
"You're the one who took chase of us not knowing who you were chasing or why." The masked man holding the child said clutching the child tightly.
"I went to the penthouse in search of Takeru and my sister Risha. now who are you?" I said.
"Are you Jun-Myeon?" The masked man asked confused.
"Bubba?" the small child whispered, turning to look at me finally. My heart clenched as I saw her golden eyes glow under the street light.
"Risha?" I mumbled walking closer removing my mask and letting my hair down.
" Bubba!" Risha yelled wiggling out of the man's arms and running to me. I dropped to my knees and hugged her tightly looking up at the group of men.
"Takeru sent me" the masked man said removing his mask finally. The tall slim figure smiled softly but I could tell there was something he wasn't telling me.
"My name is Jin, Takeru is my older brother, I'm sorry I wasn't able to get Takeru out as well" Jin said as his team bowed slightly.
"Ru-Ru....Ru-Ru" Risha said sobbing uncontrollably. I then looked up at Jin who looked full of guilt and regret looking for an answer.
"We were seen by my other brother Kwan. Takeru and Kwan were fighting and Takeru yelled for us to run while he handled Kwan. As I ran with Risha in my arms I turned to seeing Kwan drugging Takeru and carrying his body away" Jin said calmly as tears fell from his eyes.
"If didn't get Risha to safety then all of Takeru's effort would have been in vain, so I chose to rescue her first" Jin said through his tears trying to compose himself.
The world seemed to stop as I thought about Takeru being in danger. But I knew I had to focus on getting Risha to safety. Her life depended on it.
"I understand, it couldn't have been easy but I thank you for saving Risha. I will get her to safety but I promise I wont stop til Takeru is back safe with us." I said with a heavy heart as I promised Jin that I would come back for Takeru. Then, with Risha clinging to me, we made our escape.
As we ran, I couldn't help but look back at the building. The penthouse windows glowed ominously in the dark, a stark reminder of the danger Takeru still faced. But I had no choice. Risha needed me now.
In the days that followed, I worked tirelessly to find a way to rescue Takeru. I scoured the city, looking for any sign of him. But Kwan was cunning, and Takeru was nowhere to be found. I felt a constant knot of anxiety in my stomach, knowing that every moment Takeru spent in captivity was one moment closer to him being lost forever.
Sebastian changed our location and Jin returned to the Syndicate in hopes of gathering any information on where Kwan could have taken Takeru. Risha was finally getting back to normal and not having nightmares every night, but she asks everyday if we found Takeru yet.
"Young master" Sebastian asked softly.
"What is it?" I asked as I stared out my office window trying to figure out how Kwan just disappeared from the earth without a trace taking Takeru with him. Were they even still in the city?
"You must eat something, how can you keep your promise and bring Takeru back home if you do not care for yourself? Even Risha is worried about you" Sebastian said sitting a tray of food on my desk. As I looked at the food my stomach twisted and I felt sick, nothing mattered if Takeru was still missing. We don't even know if he is dead or alive, for all we know he is being tormented by kwan.
"I'll take better care of myself Sebastian, thank you." I said calmly as I walked to my desk grabbing the cup of coffee and taking few sips knowing that Sebastian would never leave the room if I didn't at least try to drink or eat anything. I sat at my desk and pondered on where Takeru could be while trying to uphold my public reputation.
