The next day, I wake up to see Xiquan still sound asleep. I quietly get up and get ready for the day. Thankfully, we still have more days off; I am 99.9% sure I can't survive Lan Qiren's class with the amount of sleep I got last night. I dress myself and go outside.
After walking for a few minutes, I see Wei-ge, Hanguang-Jun, Jiang-ge, and Nie-gongzi getting beat up by the Lan disciple whips. I wince at the sight. It was already bad enough through a screen. In real life? Yeah, no. I quickly walk away, heading towards the back mountains.
Looking around, I feel a bit concerned. How much longer do we have before the Wens start attacking and everything starts to fall apart? Is there any way we can stop the Wens from doing all that crazy s***? These kinds of questions keep swirling in my mind. I sigh and forcefully push the thoughts to the back of my head. Looking up, I feel my body tense up as a huge black bird seemingly composed of smoke flies by with a loud screech. Knowing what it is, I instinctively grab my sword and unsheath it......... Which was useless........ Damn you, bird! I sigh, sheath my sword, and sit down on a rock.
Looking down at Qilin, I realize that I haven't really played it at all since the exorcism. Grabbing my flute, I stand up and try to recall the melody that Zewu-Jun played. Lifting my flute into a playing position, I do my best to recall the song and it sounds somewhat the same........ Setting my flute down, I sit back down and think about what's happened so far and what's going to happen. We will be able to change things here, right? Shijie doesn't have to die if we change things.....But what if we fail? And everything happens as it does in the show? Will we even survive? And will Xiquan and I be affected by our brother's demonic cultivation?
Thoughts begin swirling in my mind and before I knew it, I felt like I can't stop worrying. Everything is getting overwhelming! Guess that's just a part of getting used to everything... I sigh and start walking back to my room.
I enter to see Xiquan picking up her sword, ready to head out.
"Morning," I greet.
"Good morning, where were you?" Xiquan asks.
"In the back mountains. I feel like it's so overwhelming now," I state.
"...I suppose. But I'm sure we'll be fine," Xiquan asserts.
I nod but I can tell that Xiquan is also worried.
I decided to keep wandering around the Cloud Recesses for the rest of the day. I've got a basic idea of where everything was in the residence of the Gusu Lan Sect by the end of the day. Heading back to my room, I see Shijie cooking lotus pork rib soup with Xiquan waiting intently and Jiang Cheng practicing sword forms. I look into the pot, excited. The smell alone is making my mouth water!!!
"Waaaaaaaaa!! Shijie, is it ready yet??" I question eagerly.
"Or is it almost ready yet??" Xiquan adds.
"Be patient! It's almost ready but remember, we have to wait for A-Xian," Shijie reminds us.
"Okayyyyy..." Xiquan and I reply reluctantly.
"Where is Wei-ge? I haven't seen him all day," I realize.
"Eh, no need to worry. He'll come back with fish later," Xiquan whispers to me.
I laugh quietly. "Lol yeah."
"Even in this world, you're going to continue using lol?" Xiquan teases.
"Are you not gonna?" I challenge.
"Lol. Yeah, I'm going to keep using it. No regrets."
I laugh as Wei-ge shows up with two skewered fish in his hand.
"A-Xian! Just in time, the soups just finished," Shijie says.
"Waaaaaaa fish with Shijie's soup is the best combo!" Wei-ge states.
"For you that is. I don't like eating meat from water," I grumble.
"More for me then!" Wei-ge declares. He turned to Xiquan. "Want some?"
"No thanks," Xiquan declines.
"Okay!" Wei-ge turns to Jiang-ge and asks, "Want some?" again.
"I'm good," Jiang-ge responds with a :/ face.
Shijie also declines so Wei-ge eats both fish. But later, he gives Jiang-ge one of the fish anyway (Cuz Jiang-ge is just staring at the fish).
I take a bowl of the soup and sip it. It tastes absolutely amazing! The show failed to do its taste justice!! Jiang-ge and Wei-ge are so lucky to be able to eat this for their whole lives......
*Few mins later*
............Okay. I should stop. No more eating than three bowls of food in the Cloud Recesses, and I already finished my three bowls........ Noooooo I wanna eat moreeee T^T...... Okay. I'll stop. I can tell that Xiquan feels the same way because the both of us look longingly at the rest of the soup in the pot. Wei-ge also finishes his 3rd bowl; now all three of us are looking at the pot longingly......
"I SWEAR THOSE THREE SHARE THE SAME BRAIN CELLS-" Jiang-ge shouts.
Shijie laughs as I respond, "WeLl, GrEaT MinDs THinK ALiKe YOu KnOW."
Jiang-ge rolls his eyes (though mainly at Wei-ge). "Yeah sure, GReAt mINdS, huh?" he laughs.
......................
Okay. Um. We might've...? Attempted murder on Jiang-ge...? Oh yeah, I feel like I'm losing brain cells just being around Wei-ge...
Since there was still some time before 9:00(bed time) Wei-ge decided to go and take a walk. Welp, might as well enjoy the peace while we still can...
(A/N): Hello, I just wanted to say that yes, I know that eating Shijie's soup part happened earlier. I just forgot and re-added it there and yes I know that the part when Wei Wuxian went for a walk didn't happen in the show but I needed it for the next chapter as well as to match it up with Xiquan and Lan Zhe's fanfic. ;)
Hope you're all enjoying this fanfic!
