As we make our way after the zombies, the sound of the music becomes louder and clearer.
"Wen-guniang?" Wei-ge exclaims in surprise as we find the person who was playing the melody.
"What are you doing here? Jiang-gongzi, didn't I tell you to take them and go?" Wen Qing asks.
"We wanna die–mmmph!" I answer before Lan Zhe seals my mouth with a silencing spell, glaring at me.
Wen Qing frowns with a concerned expression. "What?"
Wei-ge jumps in. "She... she said that she wants to see!"
"...See what?"
"Um, see who was playing that sweet melody, of course..."
"Okay..." Wen Qing frowns.
An awkward silence passes.
Wen Qing sighs. "You want to die?"
"Ye–mmmph!!" Xiquan responds before Wei-ge slaps his hand over her mouth.
Wei-ge shakes his head, laughing nervously. "No, of course not! What do you mean?"
"Either way, you should go," Wen Qing says firmly.
"What? Why?!" I cry, noticing that Lan Zhe's silencing spell on me had lifted.
"Yeah! I thought we wanted to die–mmmph!" Xiquan begins to speak, before being cut off by Lan Zhe's silencing spell.
Wen Qing glares at us fiercely. "Suicidal or not, you need to go!"
With convincing from Wei-ge, Wen Qing tells us that the way to save the puppets was to kill the dire owl.
"All right! I've been wanting to kill that damn bird ages ago!!" Wei-ge exclaims.
I grin. "Stay right here, we'll be right back!"
"W-Wait! How are we going to keep ourselves safe?" Nie-gongzi asks urgently.
Wei-ge grins at them, creating a golden net dome around Wen Qing, Nie-gongzi, and Jiang-ge.
"Jiang Cheng, you're good at this. Right – if you need more protection, just reinforce it and add another layer. Protect them well!" Wei Wuxian says.

"Now, where's the darn owl?" I grumble, trudging through the woods and turning my head at any noise (other than our footsteps, that is).
"There!" Xiquan cries, unsheathing her sword as the owl dashes towards us.
But just as it's about to reach us, it disappears.
"Where did it go?" I ask, not changing my current position.
The owl continues to rush at us, only to disappear at the last second, making all of us dizzy.
"Ack!!!" I cry as a chain reaches for me.
"Gosh, I'm so dizzy now that I can hardly see where the chains are," Xiquan huffs, barely avoiding another one.
"Everyone, close your eyes! Try to use your other senses to search for the chains instead," Wei-ge instructs.
"Alright!" all of us, except for Hanguang-Jun, who nods, answer.
Wei-ge's strategy works well, and we avoid pretty much all of the chains, but suddenly, one of them appears out of nowhere and wraps itself around his neck!
"WEI YING!!"
"Where did he go?"
Without a word, Hanguang-Jun starts running towards the direction that Wei Ying seemed to be dragged to. Lan Zhe, Xiquan, and I follow closely behind.
