I wake up to find the Cloud Recesses in chaos; apparently Wei-ge and Hanguang-Jun are "missing". I sigh and head over to the back mountains, knowing they're gonna appear sooner or later at the entrance to the cold cave.
As I arrive, I don't expect Xiquan to already be there, though I'm not really surprised, either.
I greet her. "Hello, already here?"
"Yeah, and you have eyes. I'm legitly in front of you," Xiquan replies.
"Okay, I get it. Also, I was thinking... We still remember mostly everything from our past lives, right? Then can we still speak in English and French?" I ask (Technically we're speaking Chinese right now).
"...Probably. We should try it when Lan Zhe is also here."
I nod in agreement and sit down next to Xiquan. Waiting for those two to get out of there is going to take a while. I sigh and lean back, closing my eyes.
***************
I open my eyes and look up to see Jiang-ge and Wen Qing coming towards us; that's our sign that Wei-ge and Hanguang-Jun are going to come out of the cold cave now. I stand up and stretch my stiff body and look down to see that Xiquan is now asleep.
"Wake up, they're coming now," I say slightly, shaking Xiquan.
Xiquan wakes up and opens her eyes.
"Nice..." Xiquan says sleepily as she stands up and stretches. A moment after, Wei-ge and Hanguang-Jun fall out of the cave just as Jiang-ge and Wen Qing arrive as well.
"Perfect timing!" I cheer.
"Why were you two here instead of helping?" Jiang-ge asks.
"We already knew where they were," Xiquan explains.
"If I may know, how?" Wen Qing asks.
"Sorry, but you may not," I laugh.
"..........."
They all sweatdrop as I look down to see Wei-ge on top of Hanguang-Jun..... My sister and I had faces filled with excitement while Jiang-ge and Wen Qing made O_O faces. Wei-ge (sadly) gets off of Hanguang-Jun and we head back to the Cloud Recesses.
***************
A cold breeze blows by as we make our lanterns in the light of early evening. Knowing that we're gonna go and find the Yin Iron soon, my heart hammered in my chest nervously. I should probably start getting prepared........
As we finish our lanterns, Lan Zhe, Xiquan, and I pick them up together and then let them go together. Despite that the weather is chilly, the view is gorgeous and even more so with my friends. I close my eyes and put my hands together, making my wish.
I, Wei Bailin, wish that everything turns out alright. I hope we can prevent deaths, make peace and survive... Thank you...
I reopen my eyes and my hands fall back to my sides. I look at my lantern happily as it floats into the sky.
I sigh Wei-ge was going to bring as I remember the chaos caused by Wei-ge.. I'd honestly thought that they'd take a little longer... Just as I arrive at where the fighting was going to be, I hear commotion. I really thought that they'd take a while.
"Ah! Xiquannnnnnnn," I say cheerfully, bouncing up to her.
"Hello! Here for the same reason, I suppose?" Xiquan asks.
"Yup!" I reply. We also see Lan Zhe coming.
"Lan Zheeeeeeeeeeee!" We call in unison as she comes closer.
"Hi, sharing brain cells again?"Lan Zhe laughs.
""NooOOooOoOoOoooOo- Yeah," I answer honestly.
Just as I finish speaking (thank you, Wei-ge, for waiting), chaos erupt around us. Wei-ge lunges at Peacock, while also shouting at him. I run over and try to hold him back with the help of Xiquan and some other disciples. Lan Zhe is there, too, trying to get between them and make them see sense (an almost impossible task).
"Let me go!" Wei-ge yells.
"No! Calm down!" Xiquan objects loudly.
"This isn't going to help anyone! Stop it and calm down! You won't get anywhere like this!" I shout, glaring at both Wei-ge and Peacock. "That goes to both of you."
Taking the opportunity that we're both occupied with shouting, Wei-ge somehow escapes and runs towards Peacock again...
By the time we separate them again, they're both panting and are sporting small injuries like light cuts and bruises.
But neither of them are smart enough to back off. As they continue to shout at each other, Hanguang-Jun rushes over.
"Wei Ying! Calm down," Hanguang-Jun orders. Hanguang-Jun, we've literally all tried to tell him. Will this work? Never mind. On second thought, it's literally Lan Wangji, so...
"DON'T HOLD ME BACK, LAN ZHAN!" Wei-ge yells.
***************
Eventually, Peacock and Wei-ge finally "calmed down". For fighting and making loud noises in the Cloud Recesses, they have to go kneel and reflect as a punishment. However, neither of them really do as they were told... Wei-ge is probably playing with some ants with a stick and I'm assuming Peacock thinks that it's all Wei-ge's fault. How is this even going to work out.......?
Looking up, I see my Jiang-shushu, Jiang-ge and Shijie coming this way...
"Uncle!" I call as I rush up to them.
"Hello," he replies.
"Are we already returning to Yunmeng?" I ask.
"Yes. Or do you wish to live here and be a Lan instead?" Jiang-shushu asks.
"No, too many rules," I reply instantly.
"I doubt that Grandmaster Lan will want you anyways," he jokes.
"Hey! Why not? I'm a great student!"
Jiang-ge snorts with amusement. "Oh, really?"
I nod earnestly. "Really!"
"What about last week, when you partly set our room on fire by accident?"
I sweatdrop nervously.
"And the time where you accidentally pushed over a chair and it crashed into the table where Wei Wuxian was trying to write down the rules and principles of the Gusu Lan Sect for his punishment, and because of that, he spilled ink all over his work and needed to restart? Not to mention he chased you all across the Cloud Recesses afterwards?" Jiang-ge questions. "And that time-"
"Okay, okay, I get it! You can stop now," I interrupt before he can reveal more of my embarrassing stories.
I nervously look over to Jiang-shushu to find him wearing a shocked expression. Shijie sweatdrops and hurries him away to his guest quarters. Whoops...
