Smoke was still clearing from buildings and all around Pleasant Piazza. Underground members were either running around helping each other or wrangling up the last of the Society guards.

"We suffered major losses." Hope said, looking around at the wreckage. "I never wanted it to go this far."

Jonesy nodded his head, "But they've suffered more. They've lost, there's no way they can defend against our attacks now." He said, pausing and then looking at Hope. "You were able to take out Valeria, Nisha is not a worry, Montague is hurt, and Oscar, from what I've heard, was almost captured but ran off. They're scattered and that's all we need."

Hope stared at the ground, "So what now?"

"We take care of the guards, arrest the loyal ones and show grace on the others. Then, we track down and take care of the elites." Jonesy said, looking at Hope and noticing the look of concern on her face. "What's wrong?"

"It's nothing..." Hope said, looking up at Jonesy.

"Oh, it's something." Jonesy said sternly. "Tell me."

Hope sighed, "Valeria. I just- I can't believe I actually took the shot. Did I actually kill my own sister?" Hope's eyes started tearing up. "I mean yeah, she was absolutely insane, but I still love her and like she wasn't always insane-"

"Hope," Jonesy cut her off, "it's gonna be alright." He pulled her into a light hug and she hugged him back, a light sniffle escaping her.

"I know, I should be happy. We've won." She said, pulling out of the hug. "But at what cost? We lost so many people, and we killed so many people."

"That's part of war, unfortunately." Jonesy said with a frown.

"I hate war. Why can't we just have peace?" Hope said, already knowing the answer.

Jonesy sighed, "Because there will never not be greedy people."

The Underground won the battle at Pleasant Piazza, and with that, winning the war for the island. They immediately took out the rest of the guards and multiple elites, some turning themselves in. The main leaders of The Society were tricky though and anytime they thought they had a lead in them, The Society was ten steps ahead.

"I'm tired of running!" Montague shouted as he leaned against a wooden wall. "I want to just fight and get it over with."

"Patience, Monty." Valeria said, not looking up from her maps and papers spread all over a small table. "I'm close, I know it."

"Yeah, Monty, these maps will totally save our necks." Kavel mocked in a high pitched voice.

Valeria glared up at him over her reading glasses.

"Shut up. At least it's more of a plan than just giving up and turning ourselves in." Montague said, looking over at Kavel.

"Well if we turn ourselves in, we have more of a chance of living then letting them catch us and kill us." Kavel said, sighing.

Montague scoffed, "You're no better than your sister."

Kavel started yelling at Montague and Montague yelled back, as he always did. Valeria rolled her eyes and covered her ears with her hands, trying to concentrate on her work. She was getting tired of having to constantly listen to these two bicker, but she was getting better at tuning them out.

The three Society members had been on the run ever since The Underground attacked Fencing Fields and almost captured them. They had decided their best chance of surviving was to stick together. They had gone several nights in their car, in old abandoned shacks, like the one they were in now, in the middle of nowhere, and at first in some elites houses until they all got attacked. It had been two weeks of them running and hiding, and everyone was getting impatient and antsy, especially Montague.
