I don't think I've ever felt so depressed in my life. The flight time was only less than two hours but it felt like a lifetime.
Once the plane landed in Shanghai, I texted him.
Me : Just landed in Shanghai.
JCT : I miss you...
Me : I miss you too...
JCT : Haha we are like two lovesick teenagers
Me : Hehehe.. who cares
JCT : Once you get out, head straight back to your hotel, don't talk to strangers even if anyone tries to pick you up
I chuckled. Was he being a protective boyfriend already?
Me : I know.. I'm not a kid anymore.. anyway, does guys do that here? Pick up girls randomly off the streets?
JCT : Yes! So just ignore them
Me : Nobody will approach me
JCT : Trust me, there will be.. you are too cute
Me : Am I?
JCT : Yes you are
Jeez...
Me : Well, you didn't pick me off the street lol
JCT : I almost wanted to
Me : Then?
JCT : I was not brave enough
Me : Jeez...
The plane had stopped and the cabin doors opened. Everybody got up and ready to get out.
Me : Getting off now.. I'll talk to you later
JCT : Call me when you get back to the hotel
I called him but he video called me instead. And first thing I saw was, either Tan Xiao Dai or Tan Li Qiu's face.
"Haha - who is that?"
"That's Xiao Dai," his face appeared.
"Ha - I thought my boyfriend went for a facelift!"
"Jeez..."
I laughed.
"You are back at the hotel?"
"Hmph. Nobody tried to pick me up though," I pretended to be disappointed.
"There better not be...!"
"What will you do if there is?" I teased him.
"I'll... I'll... I'll go to bed and cry."
"Hahaha!" I burst out laughing. He's too hilarious.
"What will you do then?"
"What? You mean if someone tries to pick me up?"
"Ya.."
"Hmm.. if he's not good-looking, tell him I'm taken."
"And if he's good-looking?"
"I think it'll be quite hard to find another guy more handsome than my boyfriend, unless he's a celeb."
He grinned.
I grinned back.
"What if someone tries to pick me up then?" he asked.
I raised an eyebrow. "Well, that's quite an everyday thing isn't it? I guess I should just have to get used to it."
"Somebody's quite confident eh.." he teased.
