Chapter Thirty

He ended up announcing to everybody about our relationship. Actually even without his telling, everybody would have assumed it anyway. But it felt so much better to be out in the open. At least we can openly touch each other's hands, or speak more fondly, or gaze at each other.

After dinner, we went out to moon bathe on the deck and everybody was sure to avoid us giving us privacy.

"I got my next work schedule," he said.

"Hmph?"

"My next drama."

"Oh? That's fast." I thought he just wrapped up for his drama.

"Ya," he nodded. "I didn't expect it to come in so fast either."

"Where will you be going this time?"

"Hangzhou. And Sanya."

"Hmph.. beautiful cities."

"But I'm only there for work," he said sadly.

I chuckled. "When will you start?"

"Next month. Until then I will be busy with the promotion of current drama."

"Oh.."

"At first, I thought I might have two weeks of break. Then I was going to ask you to go somewhere, but it's not possible now.."

"Where were you thinking of?" I was curious.

He shrugged. "Europe, or Australia or UK, anywhere, though there's some restrictions because of visa.."

"Hmph.."

"Anyway, I've checked with Zhu-jie and told her as well. I'll take a break after this next drama. We'll go somewhere then," he promised.

"It's okay. Let's work it then."

"I feel so bad having you to move around my schedule.. and not spending enough time with you.."

I chuckled as I pulled his hands closer around me. "We both knew what we signed up for when we agreed to be in a relationship. So you can't feel guilty about it now, because I am a willing party."

"Gosh.. don't say until like that.."

"That's because you can't seem to get it into your head that I don't mind at all. You are not very bright are you?"

"Hahaha -" he laughed. "Okay okay." He squeezed my hands.

"And you should mentioning it because it's getting on my nerves."

"Okay okay, sorry."

"Though sometimes I'm curious how married celebrity couples handle it."

"When there's a family, then you have to set your priorities, what's more important, and that includes turning down work as well."

"Turn down work? Is that even possible?"

"Of course. It's all about how hard you want to work and how much you want to earn. You see those top grade A list actors - they don't take too many projects, they are selective and they have big major works, invitations."

"Hmph.."

"But I'm not there yet."

"But you are on your way there," I said proudly. "You are very popular now."

"Not really. Look at Dylan Wang, he has an international fan base."

"Don't you as well?"

"Not as wide as him. Look at the amount of endorsements he gets.."
