Leo had dismissed himself and left me in the presence of Dawn and Raphael.

"Alright 'Princess', let's get this over with."

My eyes quickly directed their gaze to the glinting metal of what would appear to be her dagger which she quickly pulled out of her pocket.

"Woah! Dawn! What the fuck?!" Raphael exclaimed and quickly grabbed her wrists to stop her from coming near me with her weapon. "I'm sorry about her- but what she means is... well... we kinda sorta need to change your appearance to the point where they can't recognize you."

I opened my mouth to protest but thought about it for a moment. I need to do this.

"Fine. But put a leash on that bitch."

He scoffed at my insult. "That 'bitch' happens to be our spymaster. Do not disrespect her."

"Ooo a sPYmAsTEr, I won't let her near me. Not until she no longer has the urge to kill me at any chance she gets."

Dawn rolled her eyes and slowly put her dagger away. "Fine. But call me a bitch one more time, and I will run my blade through your fucking throat."

"Dawn!" Raphael exclaimed once more before pinching the bridge of his nose in annoyance. "Look. One way or another. You need a disguise. Dawn is your girl for that. Why can't you two get along?"

I narrowed my eyes slightly, I knew he's seen the way she acted towards me with murderous and threatening intentions. I'm just lucky that she's all bark and no bite. "You've got to be kidding me, right? She wants me dead. How many people do you know that let their potential killers near them?"

Raphael then directs his attention to Dawn instead.

She shrugs at his glance. "I don't see why we should trust her. What makes you think that she won't turn her back on us? She's a threat. We have the information we need from her. She's useless. Leo should've given me the order to kill her. Along with the rest of The Elite Strike Force."

I shot up from my crate and had my hand wrapped around her throat while pressing her body against the wall in seconds.

Raphael had wedged his massive body between our own to separate us. "Enough! Both of you!"

I lost my grip and watched as Dawn faltered to her knees to catch her breath. Her brunette hair acted like a curtain over her face. I could've sworn I heard her breath hitch as she held back a sob.

"Rin. Go back to your quarters. Now. We will discuss your assignment later."

I glared at him and balled up my fists at my sides.

"Fine! I don't want to waste another breath around you motherfuckers anyways!"

I had left the Guildhall and returned to my quarters. The door slammed shut behind me before I rushed into the bathroom and held the hand basin firmly and stared at my shattered reflection in the remnants of a 'spiderwebbed' mirror. Through the broken glass, I saw versions of myself. Who I once was. And who I am now. They're two different women. But I am about to create a third version of myself.

Through my anger and frustration, I picked up a rusty pair of scissors and started to hack away at my dusty blonde locks. Turning it into what I can only describe as a dog's ass. Scruffy. Uneven. Wild. I didn't dare look down at the blonde strands that piled up in the basin or fell to the floor.

I then picked up my old The Elite Strike Force uniform. I see why Leo let me keep it. He knew I would need it again.

Next, I stormed off back to the training grounds where Felix kept a small armory full of weapons and ammo. I armed myself with a pistol and took a few magazines to go with it along with three of their famous smoke bombs. Not to mention the dagger that I was given upon arrival is now strapped to my upper thigh.

Lastly, I needed a ride. It took The Elite Strike Force 8 hours to get here by helicopter. It could take me a day or two to travel with a jeep.

I hopped into one of the vehicles and took a shaky deep breath before fiddling with a few wires.

"C'mon... c'mon..."

The next thing I knew, I had hot-wired the damn thing as I heard the engine roar. I heard Raphael and Dawn's voices quickly fall silent followed by their footsteps which raced out just in time to watch me speed off through the deserted plains and straight for The Elite Strike Force base.

I didn't care if I gave reasons to no longer be trusted. I didn't care if Leo saw me at the end of this with a face of disappointment because I ran off. Well- drove off. I didn't care about leaving Felix or Sophia behind. Dawn can fuck herself for all I care.

I will start my assignment now, they will get my signal when I have succeeded. First I need to succeed.

And that is what I set out to do. Get into The Elite Strike Force, regain their trust, and lure them into the scout routes after I have informed Leo of my success. Then, we strike back and show them what The Resistance is truly capable of.
