The reunion

It's already 2020 and almost 3 years now since Mike's closest friends had separated from him and traveled for school, he initially thought he would be seeing his friends at least twice every year during the long holidays, yes they called and Facetimed each other once in a while but apart from Naza who mike chills with  anytime he went down to the mainland, he had never set eyes on both womi and ola, he even remembered a time last year when his brand company held an event in Kwara State University the school wasn't that close to Ola's school but for that reason or the other, ola missed Mike's visit.
Mike still texts and fleets with womi regularly on Instagram even if he suspected that she must have had a boyfriend in Abuja.
well Mike wasn't really lonely here in Lagos, in fact he is the opposite of  being lonely he has been living a mini celebrity life in Lagos with his Instagram hitting 70k follower and Twitter 19k followers he had secured a lot of local brand endorsement and exposure bringing him invites to the hottest parties going on in the state,
so you see, mike was really busy and having fun, he had naza being around most times since she later gained admission into UNILAG, but naza had her own problems to handle, she has been busy lately ever since she broke up with ola elder brother, who she now has a kid for and refuse to let go of the child custody regarding the benefits she gets from her ex boyfriend (who is now in Canada) to take care of thier child. but in all this she still makes out time to catch fun with Mike her bestie since childhood, and Mike feels a little Sad that the rest of the Gang are not together repainting the whole town red as they thought they would few years ago.

It was 8am on Tuesday 20th of september when Mike's phone rang and it was womi calling he picked and womi said"hello mike  Guess what?I am in Lagos" mike jump out of the bed with excitement almost too much for a 8am phone call, but she goes further and said that her father the minister wants her out of the country immediately her flight leaves tomorrow by 8am so she only has today to say goodbyes to all her friends.
mike was not really surprised by the following news because the country had being in chaos,
mainly the youths and other citizens of the country had come together to fight against police brutality and the rustication of the SARS (special anti rubbery squad) that instead of protecting the citizens they decided to oppress,obtain and use the law to their own evil intentions and benefits, they had made the country a scary place for self made youth like Mike himself, who had participated in one or two protests.
During times like this in the country, most federal office holders fly their children abroad to ensure safety from angry citizens.
So mike doesn't really need to ask wumi more questions instead he said "have you called ola and naza",
she said "yes ola has been in Lagos since last week and ola is really into this endsars thing o"
mike replied" I know I've been seeing his tweets,
womi continued tells Mike how ola is participating in the protest without his family knowing and to worsting the case he is doing a documentary on the issues and planned to release it years later, ola had been serious with his opinion of creating a voice for the minorities and he sees this ongoing protest as a way to speak up. His parents will surely be against him demonstrating such opinions in public but ola has been convinced and has prepared his mind for this opportunity.
Womi also added that she will call ola and ask him to come over to Mike's studio for a little reunion, she also tells mike to call naza because she and naza haven't even spoken in a very long time,
"you two are still doing like you guys are dragging something right?" Mike asked but womi busted a cute but loud laugh and ended the phone call

Womi picked her keys started the engine and drove down to Mike's studio, she was close to the estate gate where she encountered a young man she use to see anytime she visited Mike's studio years ago they made eye contact but she didn't have any mutuality with this fellow and the last time she saw him, she was on school her uniform, but she eventually honks her car and wave in which the gentle man waves back,
Entering mike studio womi heard ola voice, and she was even more surprised when she met him inside, because womi  knows that she was meant to call him by herself but for some reasons she decided to get to Mike's studio first,
the three friends hugged and exchanged lasting pecks on each other, they had sat down when ola asked
"what is mike saying about to traveling to the UK tomorrow, what are you running away from?",
Ola has always had the balls to ask the big questions openly since has always felt that nothing and nobody is above questioning or above the law,
womi replies angrily and said "Wow Mr barrister you must make everything sound like that",
mike interrupted wanting to change the subject of discussion ,which he did by saying" where is even naza self, lemme call her" 
"naza naza" ola said, "mike are you still doing shit with that girl? Cos I know that she was cheating on my bro either with you or you know the person she was sleeping with" but Mike denies and said,
"Nothing has happened between me and naza ola I have told you before"
mike continues "is it why you stop talking to me? Why do you think me and naza have a sexual affair? Yeah she is attached to me thats obvious but it doesn't mean we are having sex"
Womi added to the matter and said,
"but bro I will hardly believe that you and that girl have not done nothing, the feeling is just there, there may be no evidence now, but naza has always had a soft spot for you"
Then ola said teasing womi " wait so this rival has not ended" he laughed mocking his three friends, "I thank God I cut my self loss very very early",
"lose from what" womi ask,
"nothing never mind"ola replayed, "speaking of the Devil" ola shouted as he still stood up first to hug naza as she rushed in, naza was so happy to see all four of them at the same time so she had dropped her kid with her mother in Surulere and rushed to the reunion.
Naza Is still the IDK(I don't care) type she still calls ola her baby brother even if she is  older than him with only 2 years and ola is not really over reacting about what happened between Naza and his elder brother, he regularly asks of his little niece and naza has always gave him update on the boys welfare.
naza, always looking like the biggest girl in the room even more beautiful and elegant than before, was smart enough to read the energy in the room by asking "womi I hear you live tomorrow?" Womi nodded a little
"Take care my dare"
Womi faced mike with a straight face"so how many people have you told about my travelling"
mike answers"it's only both of them o they are like family, you know that!"
But womi said "I did plan to tell naza now and I have my reasons for not calling ola yet"
"why? Mike asked,
Womi keeps quiet and immediately regrets bursting out like that,
"Well madam" ola added" I am not here for your matter, gone are those days you get that kind of treatment from me you've  never even return any of those treatment and it's time you know that This world is not about you" he continues" I came to ask for mikes help, the biggest and most important protest ever Is holding at the Lekki toll gate and my team and I has come up with the idea of me giving a speech, mike here is going to introduce me to DJ SWITCH he feels she can provide such an open opportunity for me this night at the toll gate and am really looking towards it, am not here to get mixed up with your life drama you should be giving that headache to you daddy because he fucked you up" Mike and naza interrupted quickly knowing ola might go further,
"pls stop guys lets not spoil the day already" mike and naza said respectively but womi could not stand the pressure anymore she took her bag and left mike's place,
ola left almost immediately telling mike to get ready before 4pm so they could hit the road early for the protest, and he left Mike and Naza in the studio.
