Chapter 15

"Alpha... She's back" Carter said, walking in Luke's office with Coreen behind her.

"Coreen!" Luke approached her and wrapped his arms around her. "I missed you so much!" Carter stepped out of the room.

"Me too, Luke" Coreen did the same. "I heard about what happened to your Dad... I'm so sorry"

"I missed you... Please, don't leave me ever again"

"Never again" Coreen whispered, leaning her head next to his beating heart.

"What is happening to her?"

"What a pity"

"Stop talking about me like I'm not here!" Eleanor snapped, yet her voice sounded weak. "Get out of my room"

"Ms. Calder you must eat, you are getting sickly thin"

"Get out" Was Eleanor's reply.

'I never thought this would happen', Coreen began to write on her diary 'So many things had happened and I'm afraid of what might happen next. Maybe afraid isn't the appropriate word... I'm terrified! Terrified of what might happen to my friends, family... And Luke. I don't think I could handle the fact that something might happen to them, my conscience won't be able to handle that. This is probably my fault, I have to finish this... But how? I need help, I don't know how to do this.

Or maybe there is another way to end all of this, to finish all this mess, but it's not going to be nice.

I'm so sorry Luke, but if you ever read this I want you to know that you'll always be in my heart no matter what... Nothing will change that. I love you that's why I'm doing this... Please forgive me for breaking my promise, but this will be the best for the both of us, this will give us peace. S'agapo, Luke Robert Hemmings... Forever.

Farewell for now my love... One day we will see each other again. Who knows? Maybe by that time we will be in peace! No wars, no enemies, and no bloods spilled.

Coreen shut her journal and placed it on top of Luke's bed before walking out of his room with her jacket on and headed outside, greeting the cool air.
