Ochaco was quiet as she walked next to Katsuki, it felt weird to her, being so close to him, as if brushing arms with him was some kind of betrayal of Deku's trust. Deku sent her here with him.. She reminded herself, but it still felt strange. Most people weren't sure who their soulmate was until they died, but she really didn't think it could be anyone else. She looked at him and than quickly looked away. She heard him laughing at her, and blushed.
"What?"
"You scared you're going to slip and land on top of me or something? That shit only happens in movies."
"I mean-I just-I don't know how we end up in a situation where we say these words to each other, and I haven't been in a room with you without Deku since that trip."
Katsuki huffed, rolling his eyes as he looked at her, "It's fine. Okay? Nothing is going to happen. I'm not going to make a move on you, and I know you won't do that to Deku or your son. So we're fine. Everything is fine."
Ochaco sighed, nodding her head as she looked at her shoes.
Katsuki was quiet as he thought about the words, if they just said them to each other, would that mean they didn't have to see each other anymore? Would it somehow make them die that much sooner? He looked at her, her eyes met his before quickly looking away. Of course she did. His mere existence was a reminder that she, seemingly, was going to cheat on the man she loved.
"Cheeks."
"What?"
"I really don't think we're going to cheat on Deku together. I cannot imagine that's going to happen.""I just-"
"I know you, you're not capable of cheating on Deku." though he would be lying if he said he wasn't wondering if she wanted to. It was ridiculous, it didn't matter if she wanted to. It wasn't going to happen.
"Than what is going to happen? Is he going to die? Than I just keep him from his soulmate his entire life!"
"Doesn't matter. He chose you. You chose him. This last words shit is unfair. Can't be blamed for keeping Deku from a person he may never have found even if he didn't marry you."Ochaco was crying, Katsuki felt bad but most he was angry with her for crying in public, he grabbed her arm and pulled her to the side again. "Alright. Knock it off."
"wh-what?"
"The fucking tears. Knock it off.""But I-"
"No. We cannot be seen in public together if you're a mess like this.""Why not?"
"I'm not about to answer questions about how I made Uravity cry."
"I just had a baby! I cry a lot! Just tell them I miss my baby or something."Katsuki sighed, rolling his eyes as he sat down "Guess we'll wait until you cut it out."
"Do you think it looks better? You continuing to disappear with Deku's wife?"Katsuki punched the wall "I hate this! I hate you! I hate my fucking forearm!" Ochaco started to cry harder and Katsuki rolled his eyes
"Of fucking course. You and Deku deserve each other."
"We are a perfect match, aren't we. But our forearms don't agree."
Katsuki groaned "What do you want from me?"
"Nothing. Go entertain guests. People are going to think we're making out or something we shouldn't both be back here."
Katsuki stood up, going out to the convention, but he wasn't sure what to do. He tried to be friendly and approachable but those weren't exactly things that came to him naturally on a normal day.. He smiled weakly when Ochaco came back, looking like she hadn't just been crying. She had a nice smile, even if it was forced. For the first time in decades, he thought about kissing her. He didn't he couldn't, obviously. Ochaco put her hands in her pockets, she wasn't sure how her hand wound up in his. She frowned, pulling away, Katsuki huffed, looking at her with a slight frown
"Keep your damn hands off of me!"
"Sorry I-I'm sorry I don't know what I or how I-"
"Well stop it damn it!"
