F O U R T E E N

          Luke had never felt so happy. Watching his best friend open her beautiful blue eyes. He couldn't help but smile like a fool. He couldn't help but want to hug her until she apologize for making him think she was gonna leave him.

       It was 3 AM, and she decide to awake. Aurora was also in there but sleeping like a baby. Luke glanced over in her direction to see if she was awake, but she wasn't. He decided to wait until the girl said something first.

     To him, this could be a dream. She could still be lying in the bed, cold to touch. Unresponsive to anything but the word 'Dearest'. That was Luke's nightmare.

Something was eating at his gut, he didn't know what it could be. He need to know if she was actually his best friend. Or guilt. Guilt he would never let go.

    "Luke?" Her voice was raspy, but angelic to him. Sereia looked up at him, he was looking into her pure blue eyes.

     "Sunshine." Luke said softly, afraid if he did anything more she would go back into that state.  He watched as her blue eyes scan the room, her eyes stopped on Aurora. Sereia's head tilted to the right a bit and her eyes softened.

    Luke wanted her to look at him like that. He didn't understand her fondness for the girl. The girl was annoying, and didn't know how to shut her mouth. Luke had known the girl in front of him far longer than she had known Aurora. He hated so much. Yet he didn't hate her.

    Finally her eyes left Aurora, Sereia's pure blue eyes met Luke's dark brown eyes.

     "You're pale, when did you last eat?" Sereia raised her eyebrows and looked at him while frowning. Luke closed his eyes and started laughing.

   "I'm fine, now that you're fine." Luke said while smiling at the girl. Sereia nodded her head and smiled back up at him. Luke noticed she was shaking so he turned to get her a blanket.

    "Luke." Sereia said with panic laced in her voice. Luke turned around to see Sereia looking at him scared.

   "Sunshine what's wrong?" Luke quickly made his way back to her.

    "Don't leave me." Sereia said so quietly that Luke barely heard her. Luke frowned at the girl, he didn't know what to do. She was obviously cold, but he couldn't go get her a blanket without leaving her.

   

        Aurora woke up that morning, she looked over to her best friend. She almost fell out of her bed.

    Luke was holding the girl against him in her bed. They were both asleep. Aurora didn't know what to say. The whole time they've been in here together he had denying any feeling towards her.

    Aurora jumped out of bed and when to the bathroom to do her business. When she walked out, she saw Sereia's blue eyes looking at her.

 
    "Butterfly?" Aurora smiled big watching Sereia smiled at her. Aurora walked toward her laughing while shaking her head.

    "You know, he had been telling me this whole time he didn't have any feeling for you." Aurora looked at Luke.

      "That's because you have a big mouth." Sereia smiled at Aurora. The blonde let out a big gasp. She put her hand over her heart.

   "How could you." Aurora says dramatically. Sereia laughed waking Luke. He opened his eyes to her smiling, something he could do every day. Right as he looked at her, his gut felt weird. Luke frowned at the feeling.

"Wow, he's already frowning." Aurora rolled her eyes. Luke finally tuned back into the conversation, he smirked and shook his head. He made no attempt to leave Sereia's side, making Sereia happy.

"Look Lover boy. You're hogging butterfly." Aurora crossed her arms. Sereia didn't want to let go of Luke, nor did Luke.

"Go get a caterpillar or something." Luke rolled his eyes and pulled Sereia closer. She finally smelled him, her heart started racing. He smelled like mint, pine, and clean.

"But I have a beautiful butterfly right there." Aurora raised her chin up in the air. Sereia started to tune their childish argument out. She was focused on Luke's smell. If she stayed like this, she would eventually smell like him. Her heart started racing, thinking about that fact. She was too busy thinking about smelling like Luke to notice her heart monitor going off.

Luke and Aurora stopped arguing when they heard it. Luke looked down at her and saw her flushed face. Luke smiled knowing he was the reason. Aurora didn't get the fact until she saw Luke smiling like a fool.

She couldn't stand the two. She frowned and decided it was time to go get Chiron. As she was walking of the door way, she thought Chiron would make Luke get off of Sereia. Aurora smiled and started to run.
