happy 96k to us 🧿"What else was I supposed to do?" I said "Let him in my life again? Just so he could leave me? again"
Yuvika sighed.
"All I'm saying is that I'm proud of you" She kept her hand on my forearm "I know it isn't easy for you but you handled it well"
Yeah well wait till you hear that I let him take me to my house because he wanted to explain everything.
I have just told her that he followed me but I said no to everything. I'm merely not telling her the whole thing, not lying so that makes it okay, right?
I gave her a smile.
"Anyway, I'm gonna leave for office" I stood up and slung my purse over my shoulder as well as picked up the files on the table.
"Bye" She said and I waved back to her.
I drove to my office and got in my cabin. I started working.
The soft hum of the air conditioning provided a soothing background as I lost myself in my creative process.
Occasionally, I paused to consult my laptop, referencing digital renderings and feasibility studies.
My desk was a collage of inspiration, littered with architectural magazines, material samples, and reference books.
Time seemed to blur as I delved deeper into my work, my passion driving me forward.
I sketched, erased, and sketched again, refining every detail until it met my exacting standards.
My receptionist walked in with a bunch of flowers "These came for you" She said and kept them on the table.
I frowned and looked for a card but there was none. I immediately knew who this was from. I kept them aside and went back to my work.
The occasional sound of my phone ringing or emails pinging went unnoticed as I was fully immersed in my artistic flow.
As the afternoon sun began to dip below the horizon, casting long shadows across the office, I finally leaned back in my chair, surveying my creation with satisfaction.
The design stood before me. With a sense of accomplishment, I made a few final annotations before saving my progress and shutting down my computer.
I realised that I don't need a relationship to be happy, my work makes me happy and I'd gladly do it my whole life.
Getting married and being in a relationship with no love seems fine when there's one thing in the world that will provide me with comfort no matter what.
I heard knocking on the door "Ma'am there's someone here to see you" My receptionist said.
I looked at my watch, it was time to go home but i can't say no. "Send them in"
She went back and I gathered my things meanwhile.
My pencil fell under the table and I picked it up. When I raised my head, I saw Krish standing there. He gave me a grin and raised his eyebrows.
"What the fuck are you doing here?" I asked him through gritted teeth.
"Whoa" He said "Since when did you start swearing?"
"Get out"
"I would love to but I'm actually here to...um"
"Here to what?" He shouldn't have shown up at my workplace.
