Chapter 6: The Worst Start
To everyone's surprise, they didn't expect the headmaster to heed the freshman's request. Most students are livid by the Headmaster's decision.
Why would a monster be sorted out?
Why would the Headmaster be entertaining and accepting the familiar to be sorted?
It was absurd
It was irresponsible!
How can a pet be sorted like them?
To be sorted and treated as equal? It's unacceptable!
Among those livid students, there is Riddle Rosehearts who was livid with the headmaster's decision. But for a different reason than those students who think a familiar monster isn't on the same level as them. Familiars aren't allowed in the Entrance Ceremony. Why is the headmaster breaking the rules established by Night Raven College's long tradition?
This is unacceptable because the Headmaster is bending the rules that should have been followed by everyone.
However, despite his refusal to accept the Headmaster's decision, Riddle didn't openly refute the Headmaster or state his denial of the Headmaster's decision.
Riddle is a mere Housewarden whereas the Headmaster Dire Crowley is the Headmaster of the Night Raven College. The Headmaster is in a higher position than him. It was against Riddle's own rules to go against higher and powerful authority figures.
" I'm first!! "
The familiar flaming gray cat monster stepped in front of the Dark Mirror.
" Sort me, sort me!! "
It demanded excitement and happiness.
Some of the students groaned inside their minds while watching the pet's behavior.
' Let's just finish this strange and absurd situation! '
' Let's hope, that the monster wouldn't get sorted on our dorm. '
' It's better if we the cat be sorted on another dorm and become their problem! '
And some were interested in the monster cat being sorted out to the other dorms except their own. Wanting the cat to be sorted so that it could cause trouble for the others. After all, the Night Raven College Dormitories don't have any friendly relationships with each other. Teamwork and the power of friendship don't exist between them. Only Rivalries and animosities that cause detrimental results.
The Dark Mirror glances towards the headmaster. The expression directed towards the Headmaster was dubious at best.
" Do you want me to sort this monster? "
" Are you doubting my decision? "
The expression on the Dark Mirror became exasperated before it changed the direction of its glance towards Grim.
" Name? "
" I'm the Great Grim! Sort me! Sort me! Muhahahahaha! "
While Grim was brimming with excitement, some of the students became more sullen and irritated watching Grim's attitude.
' I change my mind, I want that monster out here. '
' Throw that cat away to Royal Sword Academy. '
' That cat is insufferable. '
' I don't want that disgusting monster here. '
While most of the students are annoyed, the owner of the familiar Yuu is gazing at the Dark Mirror, and Grim with a slight smile on his face.
