Chapter 7: Harsh Reality
Transported into a new world filled with magic, Yuuki Mishima thought that everything would change. He thought that he would become somebody in this world. Somebody that was important and would fulfill a grand and majestic role.
Like those Isekai Stories of various protagonists being granted amazing magic abilities, defeating demon lords, and becoming a great help in saving the world.
Even the world that he arrives from his expectations.. one where he was transported to become a student at a magic academy, Mishima thought that he would become some magic prodigy at Night Raven College.
However, reality is harsh.
This wasn't a new beginning where he could begin his life anew and become great.
It was like he wasn't transported at all in a new world. He was still the same old Mishima. A useless and pathetic nobody.
He wasn't destined to be a great mage or student prodigy.
He was just a magicless human. Someone who has no potential and shouldn't be in this world.
Currently, Mishima has paused in his walking. He was simply standing in the rain while holding Grim in his chest and protecting the cat from the rain. Since they have left the Mirror Chamber and the Night Raven College itself, Grim has been quiet and unresponsive. Right now, he was sleeping.
Mishima didn't bother waking Grim from his current state. Right now, it was the best for Mishima that Grim is sleeping.
Currently, Mishima is outside of the Night Raven College. Standing in front of its gate, resting and conserving his energy for a later walk.
From the gate of Night Raven College, he could see lights flickering from the distance. It could probably be a village or town. It was already evening and raining. With the rain and the night, Yuuki can't see much of the road ahead towards his supposed destination.
Just from the walk from the Mirror Chamber and towards the gate of Night Raven College, Yuuki Mishima is very exhausted. He didn't expect this Magic Academy to be so big.
While one of his arms is holding Grim and letting him lay close to his chest, Yuuki takes out his phone from the pocket of his pants.
It was still raining but it appeared that other than those 2 apps that were on his cellphone, the residents of that Velvet Room had made several tweaks to it.
He had discovered it before while he was fiddling with it in the Mirror Chamber. It was waterproof, it had unlimited battery charge, and connected to some mysterious internet connection.
Opening his phone screen, Yuuki discovered the current time.
[ 11:29 pm ]
After looking at the time, he decided to click on one of the Apps on his phone, the meta nav that was placed by Igor.
Meta Navigation, Meta Nav for its shortened designation.
Since it was called Meta Navigation, it could be a GPS or Pathfinding App right? Mishima hoped that it was.
Clicking the app, he was surprised when a voice came from his phone. He didn't expect the Meta Nav to have some AI assistant.
[ Welcome to Twisted Wonderland ]
[ You are currently at the Sage Island. ]
[ Do you want to enter Twisted Wonderland's Metaverse? ]
Mishima frowned when he heard the question from the voice. He doesn't want to go to that place called Meta Verse.
