Chapter 11: Covered Moon
Second semester, Autumn Season. A few months after the eventful summer, the 3rd Year Shujin Academy Student Akira Kurusu's normal life ended in the form of Futaba and Mona opening the door of the rooftop.
"Akira!!! "
Akira glances up from his cloud, watching while lying on the ground on the rooftop. Getting up from the floor and patting his Shujin school uniform off the dust. Seeing her looking so harried, Akira frowned in concern. Morgana jumped out of her bag.
" Futaba, Morgana. Something amiss? Did someone bully you? "
Occasionally, there are some Shujin Academy Students who would dare to bully Futaba. Usually, she can take care of herself. If there is someone who she can't take care of, she lets Akira take care of them.
Seeing her dressed in the Shujin Academy Uniform is gratifying. Futaba has come so far. From being a shut-in and now just a normal regular girl living her best life. Taking deep breaths, Futaba eventually answered.
" Look! Sophia made a discovery! "
While she was saying those words, she took out her phone from her pocket and showed the Phansite.
" Discovery? "
" Yes! Remember during the summer when the Metanav changed one day before disappearing? Just in time where we met Zenkichi-san and Sophia! "
Akira's attention is focused on Futaba as she shows him the Phansite.
During the summer, the meta nav changed briefly for one day, showing a place called Twisted Wonderland before disappearing as they started taking care of Jails all around Japan.
Focusing on the Phansite, Akira's eyes widened as he read a certain thread comment.
[ Endymion: I have a question for the Phantom Thieves and their honoraries. Are all of the palace/jail owners irredeemable scums and criminals?
Whenicatchyougege: What is bro yapping?
Pokemongottacatchemall: I think he's delusional
Ilovecats: It's very clear.
Meganeisthebest: He's trying to catch the attention of phantom thieves
Catears: pff... We've been trying that for months but to no avail. I think they would fail. ... ]
Futaba then scrolled her phone to show Akira a private conversation between her and Endymion.
[ Admin: Who are you?
Endymion: Hmm... That's new. My identity is already stated. I am Endymion.
Admin: Why do you know of palaces/jails?
Endymion: I have a Metanav, but I doubt that the phantom thieves would encounter me in their Metaverse.
Admin: How come?
Endymion: This message is from Twisted Wonderland. A world away from your world. ]
After reading the message, Akira is surprised.
" A Metaverse from another world? "
" Joker. Considering that we killed a God, experienced a lot of things, and I am a creature born from humanity's hope, another world, and its Meta verses aren't far-fetched. "
Morgana says to him.
Akira could admit that Morgana is indeed right. Another world isn't far-fetched. Akira let out a sigh. He thought that everything was over. It wasn't again.
