*Abhimanyu and the cab driver*

As the time rolled by, the cab driver grew very weary of Abhimanyu and kept looking at his passenger through the rearview mirror. For the past couple of hours, the cab driver had quite a sum of eyelocks with his passenger. Abhimanyu for his part was filled with uneasiness and guilt. As he was unintentionally making a cab driver uncomfortable for his own issues. Abhimanyu sighed and looked outside through the windows. It was still as dark as his night terrors. Abhimanyu closed his eyes and his body shivered from head to toe like a cat. As soon as his brain supplied the word cat, he wondered how nice would it be if he was just a cat. No worries, No job stress, No family dramas and definitely a huge amount of nap time. What a life would it be!! One more thought hit Abhimanyu, and he neither could help but smirk nor he could control his tongue,

Abhimanyu to the cab driver: If I were to be cat, will I be a handsome one? Also what will be the colour of my fur?

The driver applied the car break suddenly resulting in a jolt and looked at his passenger with wide eyes.

Driver (in his mind): This man is definitely insane!!!! 😱😱😱😱

Abhimanyu and the cab driver were locking eyes with each other. And none of them were ready to break it as from Abhimanyu's part, he was contemplating his whole life as a human being and from the cab driver side, he was afraid of what his passenger will do if he made any wrong move.

Driver (in his mind): What should I say now? Is he really mad? Will he become violent if I say something wrong? He asked me a question assuming himself as a cat 🐈 for god's sake, will he scratch me vigorously if I managed to piss him somehow.

Question after Question was racing inside the driver's head. It finally dawned on Abhimanyu, that he has successfully made the cab driver paranoid. Abhimanyu took a deep breath without breaking the eyelock, he tried so hard to offer the cab driver an apology but he couldn't form any words. His throat felt parched reminding him that he hasn't had any sip of water from evening. Abhimanyu gulped his saliva and licked his dried lips which made the cab driver to widen his eyes till the point of it bulging out.

Driver: *shocked* Are you a God damn CAT???

Abhimanyu: *clearing his throat* I made an if clause, of course I'm not.

Driver: *sighs* I don't even want any fare from you! Please get out!

Abhimanyu: *kicked puppy (or kitty in this case) look* I'm sorry!! I'll pay your full fare. Don't kick me out, where will I even go in the middle of the night in a deserted road?!

Driver: *perplexed* Where do you even want to go?

Abhimanyu: *looking outside* I don't know.

Driver: *feeling pity* There's a bus stand in few meters. Shall I drop you there?

Abhimanyu: *relieved* Yes please, thank you so much for not kicking me out!! *taking his wallet out* tell me the whole charge *hesitating a bit before smiling sheepishly* Also tell me what colour fur will I have as a cat?

Driver: *seriously* Your charge for the whole travel is Rs.x, and if you utter one more word I'll definitely kick you out.

Their eyes locked once again and Abhimanyu broke it feeling embarrassed of his stupid question.

*Aarohi's POV*

Aarohi was feeling a second hand embarrassment and restlessness. Her whole ride till now was filled with worry for ex-fiancé and she couldn't help but take a peek at the woman who switched from her seat. Their eyes locked for a total of 3 times. Before the woman again switched her seats far away from Aarohi's sight. Aarohi sighed and looked out. The bus was currently heading towards a bus stand to board some passengers and for the driver to have a quick refreshment as he needs to be fully awake for everyone's safe journey. They reached the bus stand after sometime, where an exhausted soul was relying onto the shop lights like an insect in the dark.

*At the busstand*

Many buses were coming and going, but Abhimanyu could not bring himself to decide what to do. This was until a bus parked near the shop he was standing and his eyes locked with a passenger in the window seat, it is none other than but one and only Dr. Aarohi Goenka.

"WHAT THE ABSOLUTE F*CK!!!", thought both Abhimanyu and Aarohi.
