THE PAST - AKSHARA'S POV
Akshara was just Akshara, but somehow her family always dotted a bit too much on her especially the elders. She didn't understand at first, on why she's getting this much more love and affection than her siblings. She's not doing anything out of ordinary. Akshara was just being Akshara. Her grades in school were not poor, but her little sister was a true prodigy. She was not jealous, because her family always made sure to encourage her passion. That is singing. She was not jealous when her little sister always address herself as Princess in childhood and tag Akshara as the common girl. Because everyone made sure to tell her that Aarohi is young and young ones don't make much sense. Everyone voluntarily treated her as a princess. So her little sister's meaningless chides never touched her heart.
Everything was perfect yet imperfect. But it was good, until the past came knocking on the doors. The truth about Naira came to light. Akshara was confused, hurt and even felt betrayed. But Akshara never blamed Sirat or anyone for this matter. Infact she couldn't associate with herself as the whole life she was living turned out to be a lie. Her Sirat Mumma was not her Mumma. After that she understood the gravity of the situation on why everyone always makes sure to treat her a bit too extra special. It's her family's way of coping. As she was the last sign of their dear Naira.
If Naira Mumma is her Devaki then Sirat Mumma is her Yashoda. Her love for Sirat Mumma doubled. Akshara tried so hard to make herself believe that Sirat Mumma is her real Mumma, then was she dishonoring her Naira Mumma by not accepting her as her real Mumma? The Goenkas failed to recognise the Identity crisis little Akshara was going through.
And on the doomed day of Kartik's flight accident and Sirat's accidental death, all hell broke loose. Akshara lost the one she was trying so hard to associate herself with. And so she took it as her utmost priority of honouring her last wish. That is taking care of Aarohi.
THE PRESENT - AKSHARA'S POV
Akshara was still following Neil and Manjari at a safe distance. Her own heart was beating rapidly in worry for her love, her Abhi. She never knew that she can ever hate her little sister this much. Her heart broke when her little sister did not even utter her name for years. Her heart broke again when her little sister could not tolerate her mere presence in the same room. She left her family for her little sister. She gave up on Abhimanyu initially for her little sister. She was ready to do anything for her little sister till her priority changed. Till Abhimanyu changed her. Abhimanyu filled the gap, no one ever knew it existed in her. Abhimanyu saw her as just Akshara and not as Naira Kartik Goenka's last sign. Abhimanyu loved her voice out of his own will and not because she inherited her maternal grandmother Akshara Naitik Singhania's singing talent. Abhimanyu loved her and wanted to make her, his own out of his own damn will. Then why's he backing away now? Akshara made the toughest choice of her life to backstab her own little sister just for Abhimanyu to leave her midway! Thoughts, after thoughts raced Akshara's mind and it finally landed on Aarohi. Akshara has stayed away from her home many years just for Aarohi's sake. She spent her short life more in hostels than in her own home just for her little sister and yet her little sister has to ruin one thing that went against her for. Leaving Aarohi alone at the altar was their mistake, but couldn't Aarohi just slap her, beat her or just vent out her hatred directly to them. But no! She has to drag the issue legally and make her distance herself from her Abhi. After years and years of trying to please Aarohi, Akshara wanted to be the one taken care of after falling for Abhimanyu, maybe that's why she hesitated in accepting Harshavardhan Birla's punishment?
Her Identity crisis increased drastically from years of staying away from her home. So she just wanted to belong to Abhimanyu. Is it too much to ask for? No it's not, Akshara concluded. He's mine, she decided.
After reaching the temple Akshara silently watched Neil and Manjari. She patiently listened and absorbed her soon to be in-laws and grasped on to the situation. Her Abhi ran away from home.
Akshara (in her mind): All the problems arose after the broken marriage must have got to his head. My Abhi is just stressed and nothing else. He broke up with me in his own set of dilemmas. I'll not reveal it to my in-laws. Looks like my Abhi has also not disclosed anything about this break-up with his family. That's the epic proof that he still loves me.
Akshara then decides to rectify her mistake of not taking part in Abhimanyu's punishment by paving way in the heart of her in-laws. Because according to her, it's the right thing to do for her love, her Abhi.
There started her journey of manipulating the first most precious woman of her Abhi's life, Manjari Birla and his little brother Neil. Akshara made sure to put on a promising act of praying for her Abhi's safe return, as her Abhimanyu has recently hinted to her about going to take a break because of whatever happened with Aarohi.
The Goenkas were having mixed emotions regarding Aarohi from the time she left home in anger. Now their innocent Akshara dumped upon them, her justification of why her Abhi broke her heart. That is because of Aarohi. All the Goenkas were stunned. They knew that they've always cared for Akshara more than Aarohi, but is this the only cause for Aarohi destroying Akshara's happiness. Question after question raced their minds. Did they fail Aarohi this much to turn her into a complete enemy of her elder sister's happiness??
