Lauren was completely befuddled as to why Michael had called her beautiful then left like that. She stood shell-shocked until Michael was nearly out of sight. By the time she finally came to her senses, Cigarette Boy was already gone.
To be totally truthful with herself, Lauren admitted that she had been hoping to see him again after their first encounter. She walked the same way every day until she finally found him again the following Sunday. She was quite interested in the tall (at least 8 inches taller than Lauren's 5'4"), reddish-orange haired boy. She wondered if he had ever dyed his hair before what she assumed was once red.
Lauren walked again every night, hoping to see Michael again, but it wasn't until the next Sunday that she caught him again, and she very nearly missed him. She didn't recognize the brownish blonde hair, being used to the faded red."Mi- Er, Cigarette Boy?" She asked when she saw him walking, guitar in one hand and cigarette in the other.
"Hey, Beautiful." He replied, turning around to confirm that it was indeed him.
"Lauren. It's Lauren." Lauren corrected him. She wouldn't admit that she would have been blushing like mad if she could have (she just never blushed for some reason) because of the nickname.
"Hm... Too long. Lo. That's your name. Lo."
"Fine. Whatever." Lauren scoffed, internally screaming at the fact that a very attractive male had a cute nickname for her. "You changed your hair."
"Yeah. Your hair is beautiful so I thought I would make mine the same. It turned out too brown, though. Do you not like it?" He answered, not being at all subtle with his flirting.
Lauren wondered if she actually was blushing. "No, it's really hot- Er, great... Um..."
Michael laughed. "Thank you."
Lauren quickly came back to her senses. "How many times am I going to have to ask you to not smoke?"
"Have you ever tried smoking?" Michael asked, eyebrow raised.
"Well, no, but-"
"Try it." He cut her off.
"No! That'll kill me!"
"Not if you only try it once." He scoffed. Lauren was still unsure. Michael thrust the cigarette towards her.
"Fine, but I don't want your used one." She sighed, giving in. She could tell he was a stubborn man and wouldn't let her go until she tried it.
"Alright, Lo. Let's go sit by the lake, yeah?" He asked, smiling at her. She tried to contain her smile as she nodded her assent. Two hours later, it was very, very dark, and Michael and Lauren were still smoking next to the lake. Now, though, they were sprawled out next to each other on the grass, looking up at the stars in the sky. Lauren lay with her head on Michael's bicep, and he cradled her at his side.
"You know, even though we're close to the city, we still get a lot more stars out here." Lauren commented.
"I noticed. We don't have parks in my town, so I've never really taken the time to look at the stars out there." Michael replied.
"They're beautiful." She sighed.
"But not as beautiful as you." He said back.Everybody does authors notes so I thought I would come say hi? Anyways I might do these sometimes and check in. If you're reading this, hello!

Sacrilegious
Fiksi Penggemar//Sunday morning, wake up early, skip church service to find my Jesus. I know it sounds so sacrilegious, but I just don't belong in a place like that.\\ in which he's looking for true meaning and she disapproves of his smoking.
