He left his university job to help out his dad in the hospitality business as he felt indebted towards his family. He still remembered the shameful event in which his entire family saw his drunkard state.

It was only after he promised his Prisha Chech that he would not resort to drinking to fade away the tension but engross himself in work.

"...Sir? There is a visitor for you..." the secretary peeped inside the cabin calling out the CFO who hummed enquiring the person, glancing at his Rolex for checking the next meeting schedule.

".., um...Sir, it's a certain woman..." adjusting his glasses Rajeev huffed a breather and asked him the name of the woman, not straying his eyes from the laptop while sipping on his decaf.

"...um...Ms. Mrunal Garg?..." The secretary glanced over his notepad to recite the name of the visitor.

Rajeev creased his brows and felt his heart beat faster at the name – Mrunal. He told the secretary to send the person in waiting.

He moved towards the office window and looked down the street contemplating whether it was...

*Clears throat*

...It was! His eyes watered on hearing her voice after so long. Removing his glasses he wiped his tears and straightened himself to welcome the new bride in his office.

But...

What he saw made him worried. She was in her most sadden state, just skin and bones. Her redden eyes, her withered kurta that has lost its colour. The hair not tended to with her regular care routine. He couldn't take her crumpled state which only showed the amount of pain that reflected from her tired eyes.
