Rajeev had securely held the Roddy in his iron grip ignoring her grunts to get out of the place.
Not able to bear the screams, Benisha slapped her but could only get a warning from the authorities.
"...so, you are telling us that Roddy is the right hand of the Banger street Don, Papi..." The SI asked the Groom who agreed with the evidences being handed over to the authorities by Benisha.
As the family were grasping in the new knowledge about the bride, Prateek Iyer grunted in his hold trying to deny the accusations.
Dino then handed over the evidence of the poison being found in Trithi's body during post mortem which was concealed by Prateek Iyer.
On asking, Rajeev replied that Prateek had suspected his wife to have an affair with her ex – Ronak Das aka Ronny (Please refer the Devil&Angel series#1 The Gandharva's Muse to know about the character 'Ronny aka Ronak Das').
Sonia jolted with a shock at the name which she heard after a period of 30 years, making her innards shiver. Vinay came to hold his wife who closed her eyes to find solace in his embrace.
Rajeev further explained that Ronak Das was a frequent visitor in the Iyer household in Pune. Trithi was just helping her ex-boyfriend under the pretext of old favour as a trusted friend. But Ronak Das would often compel her to have an extra martial affair with him. The poor lady denied it and advised him to not meet her after knowing his real intention.
Prateek Iyer mistook her friendliness for her treachery, leading to frequent fights and even forcefully torture her physically and mentally to release his frustrations.
The resultant was the bearing of the second child – Ramya which Prateek thought to be Ronak's. It was not possible foremost as Ronak had died due to unforeseen circumstances, as the trio found via their visit to Shimla.
At this, Vinay held Sonia closer to him remembering the dreadful day where he had almost lost her. Sonia could only tear up and requested him to leave the premises as it was too much for her.
Vinay called Veena to take her aunt to the room to get her some water.
Veena led her to the adjacent room to get her some water and relax her mind with some fresh air. Xavier suggested that Vinay would be required in the interrogation and offered to help his Sonia aunt.
Returning back to the narration, it was further revealed that Prateek would not take the wife's word and waited her to deliver the baby to end her existence.
