“Go in my power, and capture as many of those fools as you can! They will pay the ultimate price for thinking they can bring their teachings into our territory! And the Dragon will be pleased when their blood is offered as sacrifice on his altar!”
The words repeated themselves in Sage’s mind, fueling the drive in him to wipe out those miscreants claiming they had power, those fools saying they had enough power to even bring back people from the dead.
Foolishness! No one could be taken from the grasp of the Dragon once death came! They claimed they had power huh? If they really did, then they could show him today what power they really had.
This wasn't his first time going against these people, and they had died like the spineless humans they were, slaughtered like chickens.
He laughed aloud, basking in the power instilled in him by the head of their cult. He had the backing of the Dragon now, nothing could stop him. These charms and enchantments were the most powerful ever. Those so-called Christians were in for complete and utter destruction…
A sudden blinding light shone around him as he marched towards the highway from their hideout in the forest. His companions exclaimed as a disembodied voice echoed into the night.
“Saul! Saul! Why are you so cruel to me?!"
Fear instantly gripped him and he collapsed to the ground, closing his eyes and shielding them from the harsh light with his hands, but it was no use.
"L-Lord, who … who are you?" he stuttered as he cowered, shivering. He knew this was no ordinary person, and he feared upsetting him.
“I am Jesus, the one you are so cruel to.”
Saul went cold all over. He knew that name. Jesus was the man they all claimed had come back to life after three days of death.
" W-what do you want me to do?” He asked in a small voice, fearing the wrath of this man who they claimed was the Son of God.
"Go into the city. You will be told what to do.”
There was silence except for the continuous exclamations of his companions. He remained shivering on the ground.
"Fang!” one of his companions called, using his code name.
“Are you okay boss?”
Sage slowly raised his head to look up at his right-hand man. A shocking realization sucker-punched him. He was blind.
Those Christians truly had power. Far more power than he could ever amass. Far more than the Dragon could ever give him.

You know, the story of Saul always intrigues me. Why God would take interest in a seemingly hopeless case like him is beyond my understanding. But it just shows how much God cares for humanity🥰🥰. None of us deserve His love. While He is a loving father, never forget that He is also The consuming fire, and those not on His side will incur His wrath.
So… what did you learn today? 🤔
