I threw my bag and keys across the bed, kicked off my shoes and let myself fall into the bed.
I stared at the opposite wall for seconds, trying to maintain the numbness I had assumed, but I couldn't do it anymore.
The tears came in full measure , causing my shoulders to quake as sobs disrupted my calmness.
Only the sounds of my sobs were heard in the silence of my room.
"I should've insulted her too!" I said aloud." I didn't do anything wrong and she just embarrassed me in front of everyone. If not that..."
Josephine... Came that still, small voice.
"What?!" I snapped, then stopped abruptly as the silence returned. "I'm sorry," I said, tears continuing to flow. " It's just.. I thought she was my best friend." I sniffed. "I didn't think she could betray me like this."
I warned you against Lily from the beginning...
"I know," I whined. "But you can't blame me. She was my childhood friend."
Ten years was more than enough for her to change...
I tugged hard at the roots of my hair, hoping that would somehow numb the pain of betrayal.
"I just wanted someone to care. I didn't want to be so alone anymore, and I was so desperate that I didn't see her for who she really is," I said dejectedly. "I don't have anyone, and it hurts." I choked on the last words.
You have me... I care more than anyone else ever will. I would never hurt or betray you... I am with you, always, even till the end of the world...
I sobbed harder.
Don't you remember my promise? I will never leave you nor forsake you... Am I not more than enough?
I wiped my tears as a smile slowly spread across my face.
"You are more than enough, Lord.I'm not perfect. In fact I'm very broken, and yet You love me. I'm sorry I forgot that," I said. "Humans will disappoint, but you never will. You're the best friend anyone can ever have."
Yes. The friend that sticks closer than a brother.
I love you.

What else am I to say?🙂
You are loved, even when you don't feel like it, and you are never alone.🥰❤️I'm reminded of one of Lauren Daigle's songs "You Say"
It's one of my favorites from her.😁
