Afternoon.....

Moriah was making her way to her private spot in the woods. She was meeting her boyfriend there. Her boyfriend was Carlisle Malfoy. She had a gift for him. They had been in love since they met at a party five years ago. They danced together many times at the party. They knew that they were in love.

Moriah got to a small lake in the woods. She could see Carlisle waiting for her. He was looking at the lake. She walked up to him and covered his eyes. "Guess who," she said to him in a cute manner. She heard him chuckle.

"Love," she heard him say. He turned around and wrapped his arms around my ways and brought her close to him. She wrapped her arms around his neck. They gave each other a passionate kiss. They were in heaven when they were alone in private.

Next thing she knew, she felt him let go of her. She looked up to see him very serious. "What's wrong?" she asked with concern. "There is something that I need to tell you," he said to her. "What?" she asked him.

"I can't be with you anymore," he said to her. She was in shock. "Wha....what? Why?" she asked him. She didn't want to believe it. "We are different. Your beliefs are different than mine. Our parents would never approve. Besides, I am engaged to another pureblood," he said to her.

"You're engaged!" she said out loud in disbelief. All this time, she had been dating an engaged man. He wrapped his arms around her. "I don't love her though. I love you Moriah but, I can't go against my parent's wishes," he told her. She knew the harsh realities of being a purebloods because she was one but, she had different beliefs than him.

"I want you to have something from me," he told her. He pulled out a necklace with an amethyst gemson it. "I want you to have this necklace. It is to remind you of my love for you," he told her. He helped her wear the necklace.

"This will be the last time that we see each other. I'm sorry," he said to her. She turned around and looked at him. She took out his gift for him. "Then you should at least have this," she told him. She took out an emerald ring. He slipped it onto his finger.

"Something to remind you of my love for you," she told him. He gave her a nod. She tried to hold herself together. She didn't want to believe it. They shared one last kiss and he walked away. He didn't turn his back to see her.

She stood there and watched him disappear in the sea of trees.

"I guess our love was never meant to be."
