It was the day of the first task. I woke up to feel massive cramps. I instantly curled into a ball hoping for the pain to go away. {Why now...} I hated having my monthly. I wasn't going to be able to go listen to the first task.

I held my whimpering and slowly got out of the bed. I made my way to the bathroom. Pain shot through my body with every step. Once I got to the bathroom, I made sure to lock the door and do what I need to do.

Once I was done, I made my way back into the bed. I felt Draco still next to me. I curled into a ball to try to lessen the pain. I felt a wave a pain and whimpered loudly. "Alice? What's wrong?" I heard him ask with concern and with a little panic.

"Monthly," I told him. I felt him get out of the bed. "I'm going to go get Madam Pomphrey. Stay here," he told me. {Like I would move.} I heard him walk out of the room quickly. I felt another wave of pain and tears started to fall down my face. It hurt way too much.

After a while, I heard Draco and Madam Pomphrey walk towards me. "Can you sit up dear?" I heard her ask me. I shook my head. It was painful to move. I felt Draco help me sit up. Tears were falling down my face.

Once I sat up, Madam Pomphrey gave me my potion to take. "You will need to stay in bed for the whole week," she told me. I gave her a nod. I took the potion and drank the whole bottle. Draco settle me down on the bed gently.

I felt the pain dull a bit. "Her food will be brought later," Madam Pomphrey said to Draco and walked out of the room. "I guess I won't be able to go to the first task," I said out loud. "I'll stay to keep you company," I heard Draco say to me.

I shook my head. 'You should go so that you can tell me later," I told him. I felt him take my hand. "I don't want to leave you alone, " he said with concern in his voice. "Go. I don't want you to miss it," I told him. I heard him sigh.

"Alright. I'll come right after the task is over," he told me. "Okay," I said to him. He kissed me on the forehead and helped me lay down on the bed. He pulled the covers over me and walked out of the room.

Few hours later.......

I was reading a textbook on the bed when I heard footsteps coming towards me. {Must be Draco.} "Hi Alice. How are you feeling?" I heard Draco ask me. I felt the bed dip next to me. I put my bookmark in the book and closed it.

"I feel fine. So much better than this morning," I told him. I heard him sigh in relief. "So. How was the first task?" I asked him. "It was great. Everyone managed to pass the first task. Each champion had to get a golden egg in the middle of the area while a dragon try to kill them," he explained to me.

{I guess Harry managed to pass some how.}

"I wish you were there with me," Draco said to me as he held my hand. "I wouldn't be able to see anything," I said to him. "Yeah but, you would have listen to the cheers and stuff. I want you to be a part of it," he told me.

{Maybe...}

"Do you need anything?" he asked me. "Your company and care," I said to him. I felt him wrap his arm around my shoulder. I rest my head on his chest. This was the best way for him to comfort me from the pain.

December......

It had been a months since the first task. I had been doing very well in my classes surprisingly I would be ahead of the other students on classwork. In potion, Professor Snape would be impressed with my rendition of different potions with Draco's help.

As for my eyes, no luck. I was still having special time with Dumbledore about learning my powers and how to use them. I managed to learn how to heal small cuts and injuries. According to Dumbledore, he said that it would take more magic to heal my eyes.

I had some encounters with the Golden Trio but, I would usually spend time with Draco. He never left my side unless we were in different classes. When I was in the library, I would meet with Hermione who would be studying as usual.

I walked around the castle for some exercise. From the temperature, I could tell that it had snowed outside. I had heard about the Yule Ball that was to happen on Christmas Eve. So far, many people were going. I wasn't too sure about going just yet.

I felt a hand go on my shoulder. I jumped a bit. "Sorry," I heard a guy say to me. He sounded foreign. "It's...okay," I said to him. "I'm Vladimir Ivonkov. I'm from Durmstrang," he said to me.  "Alice Hyland," I introduced myself to him.

"I was wondering if you would like to go to the dance with me," he said to me. {He is asking me out!} "Um...no sorry," I said to him. I turned around and bumped into someone. "Sorry Alice," I heard Draco say to me.

"It's okay," I said to him. I felt Draco wrap his arm around my waist and guided me away. "Who was the guy?" Draco asked me. I could hear that we were in a hallway. "His name was Vladimir Ivonkov from Durmstrang. He asked me out to go to the Yule Ball with him. I said no," I explained to him.

"Of course you aren't going with him. You are going with me right," he said me. "Yes. I'm going with you," I said to him. "Great. Mother already gotten you a dress to wear for the Yule Ball. She says that she hopes you like it," he told me.

"I don't really care about much of the dress since I can't see Draco. I care that you are going to be my date for the ball," I told him. I felt him squeeze my waist a bit. "You will see again Alice. What ever happens, I will be right there when it happens," he told me.

I felt a smile form on my face. He really knew what to say. "Aren't you suppose to be in class?" I asked him. I was done with classes for the day. "Great...I'm going to be late. I'll see you later," he told me. I felt him give me a peck on the cheek before hearing him running.

{Oh Draco.....}

Sorry for the late update.

There is something that I really need to address especially of a comment that I have recently received. I received messages from people to update the story. The recent comment upset me a bit to a certain degree. I don't like it when people are mad at me about updating.

Here are reasons why I am not updating this story much.

1. I don't update this story very often because I don't have the right motivation to continue. If I don't have the right motivation, it results on a poor quality chapter and a story overall.

2. I am usually mentally exhausted when writing Draco Malfoy stories now a days.

I am really trying to write when I can. But right now, I need a break from it. I will eventually get back to the story, Right now, I need time...time to actually sit and think how to write it. I know how to end it but, I need to figure out how to get there.

I am really sorry to be saying this right now especially to my readers and followers. I feel like I have been repeating to you guys about why I am not updating my stories.

Sorry.
