Chapter 18: Letter From Him

I heard a man's voice. Then, I heard footsteps walking towards me and stop in front of me. "Lucius Malfoy," I heard him introducing himself to me. "Um...nice to meet you," I said to him in a nervous voice. I wasn't so sure if I could be open to him like Narcissa.

Soon, I sat down in a seat and food was brought to us. Narcissa explained to me the food on the plate. Also, she told me where my food was on my plate. She was very helpful to me. I took my time eating.

It was a very quiet dinner unless Narcissa asked me questions. Mr. Malfoy asked me a few questions and I answered them. After dinner, I stood from my seat. "I can walk you back to your room if you like," Narcissa said to me. I shook my head.

"No. I'm okay. I know my way from here," I said to her. "Nonsense. It will take you a while to know your way around the manor. Tomorrow, after the doctor appointment, I'll give you a tour and give you time to memorize your way around," she said to me. I gave her a nod.

She took my hand and led me back to my room. Once in my room, Narcissa laid out my pajamas on the bed for me to wear. When she left the room, I walked around the room to memorize everything inside.

Soon, it was time for me to go to sleep. I wore the pajamas. It was a night dress. It fitted me perfectly. It felt like nice against my skin. I got under the covers and closed my eyes. I instantly fell into a deep sleep.

Next day.......

Narcissa and I were on our way to St. Mungo's for my check up. She told me that we were going to her family doctor. I was to get a full physical. Also, she wanted to see if I would be able to see again. I doubt it.

We flooed to the hospital. I could hear many different sounds. It got really confusing to me. Narcissa led me around the hospital. Soon, I heard a door open and we walked inside. Once the door was closed, things became quiet.

"Hello Narcissa," I heard a woman's voice. {Who is the person?} "Hello Katie. This is Alice. She is the one who needs the full checkup," I heard Narcissa say. {She knows her.} I felt a hand taking my hand. "Hello Alice. I'm Doctor Channel. I'll be doing a check up on you today," she told me.

"Okay," I said to her. Soon, I was getting a full check up. She was checking everything. She would ask me questions sometimes. She helped me lay down on the examination table. She was poking different areas of my stomach. She had used her wand to check my stomach as well. I was hoping that it was an easy fix. After a while, she asked me questions.

"Did you happen to take a blow to the stomach before?" she asked me. I gave her a nod. "Does it hurt or any discomfort?" she asked me. I gave her a nod. "I had been having discomfort if anyone or I touch it. Sometimes, I can't eat myself full," I said to her. I heard her write something.

"How is your cycle?" she asked me. "I get severe cramps," I said to her. The cramps prevented me from doing much of anything. I didn't hear anything from her. {Is something really bad?} "I don't know how to tell you this," she said to me.

"What?" I asked a bit scared. "If it's that bad, you may not be able to carry a fetus to full term. You may never be able to have a baby. If you do carry a baby to full term, you may die during the birthing process," she said to me.
