-21- Bailey's Visit

Natasha's point of view:

"Where is Amelia?" Xander asked Joseline as we were seated for breakfast.

"She said she will come down when she is ready, she told me not to disturb her." She answered him.

"Okay." He nodded as he dug in his breakfast.

After when he was done, he stood up and left the dining.

I finished eating my food and cleared the table, I washed the dishes and went to my room. I took a nap until a knock interrupted my sleep.

"Who is there?" I asked sleepily.

"Joseline, Miss Winslow wants your attention downstairs."

"For what?" I asked annoyed.

"The visitor us around and she said she is waiting for you." I rolled my eyes.

"I am coming!" I yelled at her. I stood up from the bed and went to the toilet to rinse my face. I dried my face with a towel and went out of the room but not before brushing my hair.

I descended downstairs, I heard laughter and distinctive chatter of Amelia and some ladies before I got there.

"Look who is here!" Amelia announced.

I looked at the scene before. It was Amelia and a strange lady staring at me like I was a piece of shit.

"Hello, Natasha," Amelia smirked at me. You will think she was happy to see me but I know it's just an act.

"You called for me?" I faced her without acknowledging her guest.

"Yeah, that's right. I want to introduce Bailey to you. She is one of my friends, my closest friend to be précised," she introduced.

I looked in the young lady's direction. She looks my age, she is a blonde with a simple yet sophisticated look. She smiles at me but her smile holds a deeper meaning toward me.

Like a hidden hatred covered with her fake smile.

"Good morning, Mrs. Winslow," she smiled at me.

"Good morning," I almost whispered.

"It's nice to meet you," she stretched her hand out for a handshake.

I reluctantly accepted her handshake and freed my hand the next second.

"How are your days with Xander? I know he is hard to deal with." she tried to strike up a conversation.

"My stay with him has been nice and peaceful," I replied to her question. I glanced at Amelia, for her reaction but she was not interested in the conversation.

"why do I feel like you are lying?" she gave me a serious look.

"How do you mean?" I asked her.

"Everyone knows that Xander hates your guts. so you can't tell me your stay here has been peaceful. I expected words like 'miserable' or 'full of regrets'. So stop lying already, Miss Natasha," She said sternly.

I looked at her in disbelief. I know she is here to torment me since she came through Amelia but I never expected her to be this foolish.

"You assumed about my stay already without even visiting this place. But sorry to disappoint you, my stay here has been so good and peaceful. My husband has been so good to me and likewise. so stop assuming or conclude other's lives." I calmly explained to her.

She glared at me and clenched her fists as she smashed her hands against the table.

"I am Xander's girlfriend and we are so much in love. do you think he will end our relationship because of you? That'ss impossible. so don't think you have a place in your heart and house because he will never love a low life like you. Your stay here is just a matter of time. I am sure if Xander is done welcoming you, he will make your life a living hell, full of fire and ashes, then you will leave this house on your own will. and guess what? I can't wait for that day."  she giggled as she clapped her hands in excitement.

"The last time I checked, you are not the only girl Xander has in his heart so stop being so happy." I reminded her.

"How dare you say that?!" Amelia yelled at me.

"what are you doing here?" Xander's voice echoed throughout the house as he yelled behind me.

I flinched in fear and looked in his direction.

he glared at the Bailey.

"Hello to you too" she smiled at him as she stood up.

"who gave you the audacity to come inside my house without my permission?" his voice is hard and scary right now.

"I was invited by Amelia. Is it a crime to come inside your house? it used to be our house, Remember?" she tried to walk to him but he made a halt signal to stop and she stopped on her track.

"it used to be before I got married but now that I am married, the house belongs to me and my wife. you have no right to come to my house with my permission or my wife's. so kindly make us of the door." he pointed to the door.

 I stared at him as I couldn't believe what I was hearing from him. I didn't expect him to say things like this or even take my side, yet he did. he gave me my honor as his wife. my heart is racing than usual and the knots in my 

"Xander! What's all this rubbish?" Amelia yelled.

"I think I told you not to come to my house without calling me first. I won't tolerate you bullying Natasha any longer. so get out of my house. if you need to see me, come to my office or call me before coming here. Get out of my house and stop disturbing the peace of my house." he walked past me and the strong scent of his aftershave hit my nostrils. my legs became wobbly afterward and I just stood there dumbfoundedly.

"I can't believe I came here to embarrass myself." Bailey picked up her bag and made her way out of the house but not before facing me.

"Just watch as I make your life so miserable." she threatened.

"I hate you!" Amelia yelled at me as she followed her friend out.

I sighed in relief the moment they slammed the door. the feeling of excitement was immediately felt throughout my body and I couldn't help but smile. 

Or maybe blush. I was so excited that I was grinning cheek to cheek. 

I have never experienced this sweet feeling of victory in my entire life so it feels so nice and heavenly.

but why would Xander defend me like that in front of his sister and his girlfriend? That's unlike him. Maybe is he getting mature now?

who knows?

he knows what's right from what's wrong now.

good boy. I hope he doesn't change this good behavior of his.

I grinned childishly as I made my way to the kitchen to see what Joseline is up to.
